Adding Yuffie and Vincent to the party

Achievements List - FINAL FANTASY VII - Adding Yuffie and Vincent to the party - 0D6FCEFC4Yuffie

Get Yuffie on your team

In final Fantasy VII there are two secret characters: Vincent Valentine and Yuffie Kisaragi.

Yuffie is only available after going to the Mithryl Mines. You can find her in any forest of the World map. While waling in a forest you may eventually get into a fight with her. She will start talking to you but you have to pick the right things to say or she will run away. The correct answer order is:

-Not interested

-Petrified

-Wait a second

-That’s right

-Let’s hurry on

Get Vincent on your team

Vincent Valentine can be found in the bas*ment of the Shinra Mansion in Nibelheim. You can get him the first time you get there or anytime after that.

The first step in getting Vincent is to unlock the safe in a room of the mansion. The combination to the safe is: Right 36, Left 10, Right 59, Right 97. After beating Lost Number, on the floor, you will find the”Bas*ment Key”. Open the door in the bas*ment and examine the coffin in the centre of the room to speak with Vincent. Talk to him about Sephiroth and he’ll return to the coffin. Talk to him a second time then leave the room. On your way out of the bas*ment, Vincent will stop you and join your party.

Get Cid’s last Limit Break

To get all these achievements you firstly have to reach level 3 limit breaks with the corresponding characters. Doing so is quite easy, especially if you take advantage of the Mime materia, which allows you to copy your last command (limit breaks included).

Level 1, Limit Break 2

To acquire it you have to use L1 Limit Break 1 10 times.

Level 2, Limit Break 1

You have to kill 80 enemies (60 for Vincent) with the character you want to upgrade the limit.

Level 2, Limit Break 2

You have to use L2 Limit Break 1 8 times.

Level 3, Limit Break 1

You have to kill 80 enemies to learn it.

Level 3, Limit Break 2

You have to use L3 Limit Break 1 6 times.

Level 4, Limit Break

To learn this move you have to possess the Manual of the character you want the limit to be unlocked.

Cloud

To get Cloud’s manual you have to gain 32,000 Battle Points at Battle Arena, Battle Square. You MUST NOT leave the arena once you decide to take on this manual otherwise points will be lost.

Tifa

To get Tifa’s manual you have to play the following song on her piano in Nibelheim:

DO-RE-MI-SI-LA-DO-RE-MI-SOL-FA-DO-RE-DO

Aeris

To get Aeris Manual you have to reach the sleepy man cave (near Fort Condor right before the river). This man will tell us different informations such as:

-number of battles won

-number of battles we fled

If the number of battles won ends with 2 identical digits (YXX, XX, etc…) the man will give us a present. If the last 2 identical digits are odd, the man will gift us the “Mythril“, the item we were looking for. Once we acquire the Mythril we have to give it to the blacksmith nerar Gold Saucer. Inside the blacksmith’s house we will be given the choice of opening a big wooden chest or a small metal one at the second floor. We have to choose the metal chest and examine the metal panel up the stairs. We will find the Great Gospel Manual.

Barret

To get this manual we must have been saved North Corel from the train in disk 2. From now on we will be able to get this manual simply by returning to North Corel, climbing the stairs and reaching the main house, where we will talk to the little girl with a hat.

Cid

We find Cid’s manual inside a chest in the crashed airplane under the sea, West of Junon. We can reach this place using the submarine.

Red XIII

To get this manual we have to open the safe in Shinra Mansion, Nibelheim. After beating Lost Number we will receive Cosmo Memory and Odin Summon Materia.

Yuffie

To get this manual we will have to face and win all the battles inside Wutai’s Pagoda with Yuffie inside the party.

Cait Sith

He does not have a L4 Limit Break <3.

Vincent

To get Vincent’s manual we have to take him (have him in the party), thanks to a Green, Black, Chocobo or the submarine to the cave under the waterfall in the crater at the centre of West Continent. Here, Vincent will meet an old friend. We will get the final weapon and the last limit break for the character if we visit this place two times. We can enter the cave both times on disk 2 or 1 on disk 2 and the last one on disk 3.

Master of Gil

Achievements List - FINAL FANTASY VII - Master of Gil - D13B3E412Master of Gil

99,999,999 Gil

These achievement requires the player to collect a total of 99,999,999 in-game currency.

First thing you need to do is to equip weapons that have the most slots in it (where you can put materia in). I suggest weapons such as Apocalypse (Cloud) and Scimitar (Cid). Next you have to fill all the slots with “All” materias. This is beacuse a fully leveled All materia could be sold for 1,400,000 gil each. The best spot to grind out AP is in the Nort Cave where you can find Magic Pots, which drops 1000 AP each, although you have to use Elixirs on them in order to kill them.

In order to reach the area where you can encounter Magic Pots you have to go down the canyon and enter the area where the party splits up, then take the left path and when you come to the second split point, go up and you will reach the swamp.

Top Level

Achievements List - FINAL FANTASY VII - Top Level - 2FCCF9242Top Level

Reach level 99 with any character

This achievement requires the player to level up all the characters to level 99.

The best place to grind up EXP in disk 3 is the Northern Crater, Swamps (same place where you farm Gil). To effectively gain all the EXP you need I suggest to use an EXP Plus materia equipped on your characters’ weapons

Neo Bahamut

Achievements List - FINAL FANTASY VII - Neo Bahamut - C8A4A1951Bahamut Zero

Get materia Bahamut Zero

The Bahamut Zero materia can be found in the Cosmo Canyon planetarium. It is obtained when the player interacts with the Blue Huge Materia, after obtaining both Bahamut and Neo Bahamut Materia.

If the player fails to secure all of the Huge MAteria, the Bahamut Zero materia can be dug up from Bone Village after the Raid in Midgar. If the plauer also, did not obrain one of the other Bahamuts but did obtain all four Huge Materia, the Bahamut Zero Materia will not appear at Bone Village and will be permanently missed.

Knights of The Round Materia

Achievements List - FINAL FANTASY VII - Knights of The Round Materia - BE27A0AF9Knights of the Round

Get materia Knights of the Round

This is, according to me, by far the best summon materia in-game and if you manage to get it, it will give an incredible boost to your progress making things a lot easier.

This incredibly powerful materia can be found on Round Island, a hidden island in the northeast of the world map. It can only be accessed with a Gold Chocobo.

Achievements List - FINAL FANTASY VII - Knights of The Round Materia - 71A889674

Master Materia and Materia Overlord

Achievements List - FINAL FANTASY VII - Master Materia and Materia Overlord - 37F641059Master Materia

Reach the maximum level of any materia

In order to obtain this achievement you have to reach MASTER level with any Materia in-game.

Achievements List - FINAL FANTASY VII - Master Materia and Materia Overlord - C0565EF1EMateria Overlord

Master all Materias

This is one of the most difficult obtainable achievements in Final Fantasy 7.

The method to level up materias is the same we used for Master of Gil and for Top Level.

The goal is clear: you have to level up to MASTER all the different types of Materia in-game. This is already a time consuming task but what makes this achievement so difficult is that some Materias are missable as well as some enemy skills so you have to pay much attention while playing if you want to obtain this achievement.

The missable materias are Comet, Ultima, Morph, Trine, Pandora’s Box (Enemy Skill), Added Effect, MP Turbo, Steal as Well, MP Absorb, Elemental, Ifrit, Ramuh, Bahamut, Neo Bahamut, Leviathan and Luck Plus

The Comet Materia can be found in the Forgotten City.

Right before you take the blue stairs which take you to the next zone, you will notice a materia up your head.

Achievements List - FINAL FANTASY VII - Master Materia and Materia Overlord - E5DBB17E4

The Ultima Materia can only be obtained from an event in North Corel (CD2). A boy will give it to the party for free after stopping the coal train during the Huge Materia mission. If the player fails to stop the train you can buy it later for 50,000 gil. Last chance to get the materia, if the player is unable to complete the previous methods, (fails to catch up to the train) is to succeed in the Shinra No 26 Huge Materia mission. If you manage to complete the mission, Ultima can be obtained for free from the boy in the Tent.

The Morph Materia can be founf in the Temple of the Ancients. It is by the pool area where large boulders roll across the field.

Achievements List - FINAL FANTASY VII - Master Materia and Materia Overlord - 3F40F12E6

There are quite few ways to get the Trine Enemy Skill Materia throughout the game. It can be learnt from the boss Materia Keeper in Mt. Nibel. Another way to get it is from the boss Godo from Yuffie’s sidequest in the pagoda in Wutai. The last chance to obtain this good is from manipulating Stilva in the Gaea’s Cliff Caverns.

The Pandora’s Box Enemy Skill can only be learnt from Dragon Zombie at the Northern Cave

Achievements List - FINAL FANTASY VII - Master Materia and Materia Overlord - 93A27FB6D

The Added Effect Materia can be found in Cosmo Canyon, Cave of the Gi in the screen past the slippery floors that make you hit the spikes.

Achievements List - FINAL FANTASY VII - Master Materia and Materia Overlord - 8C37F27F5

The Mp Turbo Materia can be found in Whirlwind Maze.

Achievements List - FINAL FANTASY VII - Master Materia and Materia Overlord - 6F1C5CACB

The Steal As Wll Materia requires few steps in order to get it. It can be fonund in the Da-chao Statue in Wutai. Unfortunately the only way to get it is to get past the fire wall. This will require you to have the key item “Leviathan Scales”, which can be found in the Junon Underwater reactor, in a chest on the far left of the submarine.

Achievements List - FINAL FANTASY VII - Master Materia and Materia Overlord - 74E8DDD3A

The MP Absorb Materia can be found in a chest at the item shop in the Wutai Village during the Yuffie quest.

Achievements List - FINAL FANTASY VII - Master Materia and Materia Overlord - 629E694F3

The Elemental Materia can be found in the Shinra Building on floor 62. If the player guesses the mayor’s pa*sord on the first try he will give it to you for free. The pa*sowrd is found by reading the title of the book on the left end of the middle shelf in the library room with cyan shelves and a blue floor. Elemental is later found on Mt.Nibel mako fountain. Another chance of getting this good is in Nibelheim: if the player plays Tifa’s piano while she is the party leader it will be dropped.

Achievements List - FINAL FANTASY VII - Master Materia and Materia Overlord - 5E3875841

The Ifrit Materia can be found on Shinra’s Cargo Ship after killing Jenova Birth.

Achievements List - FINAL FANTASY VII - Master Materia and Materia Overlord - 5AC111812

The Ramuh Materia at Goldern Saucer, inside the Jockey’s Room right after the battle against Dyne.

Achievements List - FINAL FANTASY VII - Master Materia and Materia Overlord - 68FA468F0

The Bahamut Materia can be found in the Temple of the Ancients, after killing Red Dragon Boss.

The Neo Bahamut Materia is found in the Whirlwind Maze, liying on the ground.

The Leviathan Materia is obtained in Wutai Village from Yuffie’s sidequest. She wins it after defeating the fifth and last pagoda god, Godo.

The Luck Plus Materia can be found at the Temple of the Ancients in the area with all those strange pathways.

Hatching Gold Chocobo

Achievements List - FINAL FANTASY VII - Hatching Gold Chocobo - 658D49772Gold Chocobo

Get a Gold Chocobo

Breeding a Gold Chocobo is a sweaty task.

Once the player has acquired the Highwind, he can catch chocobos arounf the world and bring them back to the Chocobo Farm near Kalm for breeding. The best greens for capturing a chocobo are Reagen Greens (when ff7 started acting like Pokemon?!). The player also needs to have some nuts in order to breed chocobo. The nuts the player needs are Carob Nuts and Zeio Nuts. Carob Nuts can be stolen from enemies called Vlakorados, which can be found in the gra*s landes in the Icicle Area, or by purchasing them from the Wonder Square. Zeio Nuts can only be won by defeating Goblin enemies. Goblin can be found on Goblin Island, which is on of the small islands in the northeast corner of the world map. The stats of the parent chocobo will drastically increase the player’s chances of breeding a chocobo of a different color. In order to increase the stats of the chocobo, the player must race with him in Gold Saucer. The quality of the regular yellow chocobo is also a major factor in breeding. The quality varies from Good and Great to Wonderful. The player will know if they have found the right type of bird by asking to Choco Billy to rate them.

In order to breed a blue chocobo, the player needs to mate two good B-Cla*s male with a Great B-Cla*s female or viceversa. The player needs to use a Carob Nut in either case.

In order to breed a black chocobo, the player needs to breed an A-Cla*s blue chocobo with an A-Cla*s green chocobo using Carob Nut.

In order to breed a Gold Chocobo, the player needs an A-Cla*s black chocobo with an A-Cla*s Wonderful Wonderful regular Chocobo by using a Zeio Nut. Some users suggest to put black chocobo first when breeding otherwise a bug will cause the system to not hatch a gold chocobo.

Another way to get the mithycal Gold Chocobo is by defeating Ruby Weapon and getting the Desert Rose Item, which can be traded to the old man in Kalm for a Gold Chocobo. I do not suggest this way if you are a unique-item collector like me XD.

Some adviced before taking on the Weapons

Before jumping into a fight against one of these fearsome enemies we have to be well equipped.

My advice is to have already acquired materias such as Knights of the Round, Mime, Final Attack, W-Summon, some Hp Plus, Hades as well as a good amount of Megaelixir, character’s final weapons and limit breaks, Ribbon accessory and the Underwater materia.

Diamon Weapon

Achievements List - FINAL FANTASY VII - Diamon Weapon - 6224C20BCDiamond Weapon

Defeat the Diamond Weapon

On disk 2 we visit the City of the Ancients, and after using the Ancient Key, we can return to the Highwind where we will hear a tremor and we will see a Weapon rise from the Sea heading to Midgar. We won0t be able to take her into a fight until she reaches the shore.

HP: 30.000 – MP: 30.000

Attacks: Stomp, Laser Ray, Diamond Flash

Strong against: Gravity, Manipulate, Stop, Death, Hades (Status), Darkness, Petrify

Strategy: Begin the fight by buffing your defenses with Barrier, MBarrier and Haste; Regen is also highly recommended in this fight. Cast magics such as Comet and Ultima to cause more damages to the foe. You should set up one of your characters as a White Mage for all the party. One white mage is more than enough.

Achievements List - FINAL FANTASY VII - Diamon Weapon - B32B9F8A1

Ultimate Weapon

Achievements List - FINAL FANTASY VII - Ultimate Weapon - F5E28AC1FUltimate Weapon

Defeat the Ultimate Weapon

After defeating Diamond Weapon, we will find Ultimate floating on the small lake East of Junon. Simply reach her using the Highwind to begin the fight.

HP:100.000 – the amount dealt at Mideel

Attacks: Quake, Ultima Beam

Strong against: Earth, Hades (status), Paralyze, Petrify, Gravity, Manipulate, Stop, Death

Strategy: This fight will require the player to use high range weapons such as the ones of Vincent, Barret and Yuffie; the other team members can not cause damages with a normal attack.

After some turns Ultimate will flee away and will start running around the skies. Take advantage of this situation by restoring your HP/MP then follow her trying not to lose the sight of the enemy. If we go straight to her a force will jump us back, but if we try doing so 4-5 times the Weapon will finally reach a certain place, where we will be able to fight her again. This game of tag will occure 2 or three times until weapon will eventually reach Cosmo Canyon where the final battle will take place.

Unlike the previous battles, before raising the white flag, Ultima Weapon will use a powerful attack named Shadow Flare, which is able of causing more than 8000 HP to one of our party members.

Achievements List - FINAL FANTASY VII - Ultimate Weapon - 4C4472AB5

Emerald Weapon

Achievements List - FINAL FANTASY VII - Emerald Weapon - 852CF7167Emerald Weapon

Defeat the Emerald Weapon

Emerald Weapon will appear on the sea bottoms right after we get the submarine in disk 2.

I highly reccommend equipping the final weapons of our characters as well as Wizard Bracelets (high magic defence and 8 slots) for this fight. One party member should equip Ziedrich (reduce damage taken by half) or Escort Guard (nullifies thunder, earth and water damages and has 6 slots).

Use Hp Plus Materias to boost your HP and if you want you can also use Counter Attack Materia. Be sure not to equip a high amount of materia because one of Emerald attacks is “Aire Tam Storm”, which deal damages based on the number of equipped materias. Otherwise you can also use the combo: Final Attack + Phoenix to raise your party after that attack.

HP: 1.000.000 – MP: 100

Attacks: Emerald Shoot (8000 HP to a single target), Emerald Beam (6000 HP to all party members), Revenge Stamp (3000 HP to all party members) and Aire Tam Storm.

Strong against: Gravity, Hades (status), Darkness, Stop, Death, Leviathan, Manipulate, Slow, Petrify.

Emerald has 4 parts called eyes that will regenerate if all destroyed but this will grant us more turns and time. She will keep using Emerald Shoot, then after some turns, she will use Emerald Beam.

The 4 eyes attack independently from the main body but she will counter attack each time an eye is destroyed with Revenge Stamp. When all 4 eyes are knocked down, Emerald will use Aire Tam Storm, and after some turn she will summon them again.

HP: 25,000 – MP: 0

Strategy:

-Cloud: Knights of the Round + HP Absorb Materia + W-Summon, HP Plus

-2nd: Mime materia, Final Attack + Phoenix Materia, HP Plus

-3rd: Mime materia, HP Plus

Cast twice Knights of the Round thanks to W-Summon materia. HP Absorb materia will grant us a high amount of HP. The other party members just have to use Mime command to cast knights of the round as well.

Achievements List - FINAL FANTASY VII - Emerald Weapon - 9471626A2

Ruby Weapon

Achievements List - FINAL FANTASY VII - Ruby Weapon - 2FB27F199Ruby Weapon

Defeat the Ruby Weapon

Ruby Weapon will appear in Corel’s desert near Gold Saucer after beating Diamond Weapon.

I suggest to equip the party with Mystile, which will grant us high defence and evasion to Ruby’s attacks. Ribbon is also highly recommended for this fight.

Suggested materias: 2x Mime / 2x Master Command, Master Summon, W-Summon, Hp Absorb, 2/3x Revive, HP Plus (lots of them).

HP: 1,000,000 – MP: 900

Attacks: Whirlsand (removes a party member for all the match duration; it won’t be used if tentacles are on the battlefield), <no name> (more than 3500 HP to all party members; not used if tentacles are on the battlefield), Ruby Ray (3000 HP to all party members and inflicts Confusion), Ruby Fire (Fire damages), Ultima (used as counterattack), Shadow Flare, Normal attack (inflicts Toad, Slow and Petrify).

Strong against: Fire, Hades (status), Darkness, Stop, Death, gravity, Manipulate, Slow, Petrify

Tentacles:

HP:50,000 – MP: 0

Strategy:

-Cloud: Master Summon Materia + HP Absord Materia and W-Summon Materia, Revive, HP Plus;

-2nd: Master Command Materia / Mime MAteria, Revive Materia, Enemy Skill (if you want to learn Shadow Flare), HP Plus Materia;

-3rd: Master Command / Mime Materia, Revive, HP Plus Materia.

IQ 20000 hint: Enter the battle with only Cloud alive. Doing so will reduce the chance of Ruby using Whirlsand. After she digs her tentacles you can revive your teammates.

After reviving the party use the Enemy Skill Guard to buff the defence and leave Cloud free to cast Knights of the Round more and more times. Keep an eye on your MP and eventually use a Megaelixir to restore them. Hades summon will paralyze the enemy preventing him to counter attacking with Ultima. Keep using Knights of the Round Summon on Cloud and the command Mime on the other two party members until the battle is over.
