Auto Grind For Late Game – Disgaea 2 PC 1 - steamclue.com

Have you ever tried to complete all 186.000 levels in order to attain max stats or to reach level 9999. This guide will show you how to make this process much easier.

Introduction

First of all, this auto grind only works if you have two characters who can oneshot all enemies using 3X3 skills. If you're not strong, I recommend increasing your mastery level at Shinra Tower and Death to Cowards so that damage can be reversed.

If you still feel weak, you can always go into the item realm and find gladiators/teachers and put them in a weapon. If you are looking to train a character that you will be using in the future, you might consider farming lovers.

If you still have trouble, you need to level your character up before you can use the auto grind.

Let's move on to how we're going to do it. AutoHotkey allows you to input a series keys that will be played when the program is activated. You can achieve automatic grinding by adding a loop to a series or key inputs. If you put some effort, you can make it compatible with all Disgaea-compatible games! I have one for Disgaea PC, even! (Sorry for taking so long to make this one. Disgaea4 may be faster.

You should read the FAQ before you use this guide.

The Raw Thing & Cave of Ordeals

You've downloaded AutoHotkey. Now you want to grind. Depending on the place and person you want to grind, different ".ahk” file formats will be required. Let's first define ".ahk". This is the file AutoHotkey uses to run. You can create it from your desktop with right click, new after you have installed AutoHotkey. If it doesn’t appear for some reason, you can always write a message and change the ".txt” to a “.ahk”.

The following code is composed with keys that correspond to specific actions. If you don't have keybinds for the game, you will need replace the following letters with the equivalents.

WASD (Up, Left, Down and Right)

J: confirm.

Z: Execute action

0: Nothing. It is crucial that you assign a key which does not do nothing to this.

There's an exception for "P" and CTRL+K. These keys don't correspond with the game. They are used to activate and pause the auto-grinding. You may need to modify these keys if they are used in the game for any reason.

"CTRL+K", which is in line 5, is "$k ::".". To activate the program, simply change it to any other value.

"P" should be in line 23, but it's actually "p ::".". To pause the program, simply change it to any other line.

(Also don't forget animations to be turned off and your two grinding characters in THE TOP.

(Also, place your ability of selection like Winged Slayer at or near the top.

You might think that this is quite heavy. Once you have replaced each key by the appropriate, you can automatically grind with two blade/fist users. All that's left is to drag the file ".ahk", into the AutoHotkey Folder, and then to move it over AutoHotkey.exe. No prompt will be displayed if this is your first attempt. If you're doing it again, a prompt will appear asking you to override previous sequences.

You will need to alter the code in order to automatically grind with a magician.

Customizing

So you're a magic user, and you want to grind. All your problems can be solved with two lines of code! You'll need modify lines 14 and 17 (or "Send _____JJJ" and "Send _____SA")

For magic users, you can simply replace line 14, "Send ______jjwjz", with line 17, and add "Send ______sa" to line 17. This will change depending on which keys you use. If your "down command" is bound to another key you won't be adding an "s".

These changes are explained by the fact that when you select a spell, you have to also select the spell range (3X3) and where it is cast by moving once upward (wj). Finally, add an extra down to return the Base Panel.

You may have noticed, if you have used this already, that the first character kills 6 enemies and the other 2 enemies. This is intentional. It's meant to farm 1 character. The second one is just required to kill all enemies.

You only need lines 14-20 to make sure that both characters kill 4 enemies.

"Send jjjddwwwwj"

"Send ssssaa"

If you look carefully, you'll notice that there are extras for "d" as well as "a". This is so your 3X3 attack can only kill 4 enemies by moving just a little to their right. It is quite simple.

Magichange 1&2: Electric Boogaloo

As you all know, the Magichange mechanic allows you to transform monsters and weapons into weapons. Magichanging is possible for multiple reasons. Your monsters get experience alongside your human characters. If you have an "M-change scroll" levelled, your human characters will receive a boost of stats.

Keep in mind that the characters list must include Human A (Monster A), Monster A (Monster B), and Monster B (Monster B). Remember that Magichange alters your weapon depending the monster. This may result in you being unable or unable to use your swords or fists.

Send jjjawwwj

Sleep, 400.0

SetKeyDelay, 85, 85

Send jssssjj

Sleep, 1100.0

As you can see, adding is very easy. These handy little details can be input wherever you want Magichange. The first set corresponds to the first human character. The second set corresponds to the second human character.

These sets are located between the lines "jjjdwwwwj/jjjawwwwj" (after Sleep) and "jssjjj" (before SetKeyDelay).

SetKeyDelay, 85, 85

Send jjj?wwwwj

Sleep, 400.0

(A set is determined by the human character).

SetKeyDelay, 85, 85

Send jssjjj

Sleep, 85.0

Magichange 2 is simply a copy of the set. You can place it back to front after the set. If you want to kill equally (instead of 6/2), make sure to modify the new sets.

You'll need to modify your lines slightly if you're farming with a monster skills. "jssjjjj", the monster skills at the bottom, will be replaced by the "jwjjjj", because up automatically takes one to the end. You can then add as many of the "w" you need to select your skill.

Zetta Magichange VI. Return of the Badass Overlord

Auto Grind For Late Game - Disgaea 2 PC - Zetta Magichange VI: Return of the Badass Overlord - 24B4D4F

Welcome, inferiors, to the amazing existence known Zetta Farming!

You've been forced to divide your experience between two characters. But no more! Magichanging a beast and Zetta Magichanging 2 will grant you the ultimate farming skill: Zetta Beeeam. This skill can be used to reach all targets. To reach new heights, become the Badassest Oblord!

Taking a step back, you need to consider certain details. You can unlock Magichange 2 in Zetta by randomly encountering Mao at the Item realm. Your weapon will not give you stats unless your magichanging monster has a legendary M-change Scroll levelled at least level 3. However, you can still use monster's weapons that you normally wouldn't use because Zetta Beeeam does not require a specific weapon. Because you are using Zetta Beeeam instead of your weapon, your weapon mastery will gradually decrease with each reincarnation. This could make it difficult to kill enemies in one hit and force you to farm it once again to 255. Zetta Beeeam uses ATK, and not INT. Therefore when training mages equip them with ATK equipment (not necessarily swords, since weapon mastery on other staffs can compensate the bonus a sabre would give).

This is the code.

Let's now move on to the FAQ.

FAQ

These are some important things to keep in mind when using this automated grind:

PAY CLOSE ATTENTION to 5!

1 – The program won't quit even though my "P" key was pressed. My computer will continue to write gibberish.

This is a rare bug in older versions. However, it may still happen from now on. To stop AutoHotkey, simply press CTRL+ALT+Delete. AutoHotkey is not going to be in the first or second list.

2 – When I press "P", it restarts the program and won't stop composing gibberish/It won’t permit me to write the letter “P”!

This is not an issue in the program itself, but rather with the way that the code is written. I am not a code expert. In fact, I stole the skeleton from FFXIII-2 to make it fit Disgaea 1. After that, I made it go through a metamorphosis and it survived Disgaea 2. I don’t know what to do to program an ending to the program. I can only pause it. Also, the unpause buttons are also marked "P" and you won't be able to close it unless you use the same solution as in 1. Resetting your computer should stop it.

It overrides the use the letter and won't let it write "P". If you write "ALT+P", you can write the letter P, but you won't be able to use the previous combination in order to make a capitalized "P". The only way to solve the problem is the same one as the previous.

3 – I (for some reason), want to use CTRL+K without activating this programme by mistake!

The solution to 1 and 2 are the same. To close it, simply press CTRL+ALT+Delete.

4 – There are 2 AutoHotkeys open when I open task manager. Is that normal?

Absolutely normal. One AutoHotkey indicates that the code is active, while another indicates that it is. Both should be available even if the app is paused. This is because the second AutoHotkey must keep track of where it was paused so it can continue from that same spot once it's unpaused.

5 – Every time I pause/unpause the program, it stops working properly. Instead, it gets to do whatever I want.

As you can see in 4: When you pause it the program remembers where it was stopped and resumes where it left. There are two solutions. The first solution is to reset it. You can do this with the task manger as explained previously. Or, drag the ".ahk” files over AutoHotkey.exe and answer yes to the prompt.

The intended method is for it to pause in an especific moment of its sequence. This is when it has just closed all reward windows and before it reenters the map. It will then continue the sequence at the beginning, even if you unpause it.

6 – This doesn't work! Sometimes, in the middle or end of battle, it will stop functioning and do whatever you ask!

This is not an issue in the program, but rather with the game. You see, the sequence pushes the limits of how fast you can input commands. This problem can be solved by increasing the time between keystrokes and the sleep time between sections. To do this, replace SetKeyDelay/Sleep numbers with larger numbers.

7 – It stopped after my inventory was full!

There are two possible solutions. The simple solution is to keep a lot of inventory empty. When you purchase an item, but your bag is full it will show a screen. You can't exit it except by pressing back, which is not implemented anywhere in this guide. So you'll be stuck there until you return to play the game.

Programmers have the option to tell it to press the cancel command every time it encounters the 2nd "j" in the sequence. However, it may exit the selection screens, so do this at your own risk.

8 – What happens if I run out SP and my character dies?

If your character is unable to perform a skill, it will be stuck in that map forever until you come back to the game. You don’t have to worry about the character dying as you use the execute command rather than the end turn command. This prevents your enemies from ever having their turns.

9 – How Much SP should I have

You may have to do this depending on your character and equipment before you reach the 2000 level. A character with 2000 SP or 3000 SP will be able to complete 9999. But a low SP character may not be able. It all depends upon the character, the bonus provided by equipment, and the requirement for SP in the skills. (Mages have it worse).

10 – Magicians don’t have so much to move to cast their spells.

The customizing section felt heavy so I didn’t mention it. It's also a test of who reads the FAQ. Although the Disgaea Guide was straightforward, there was an alternative. This Guide however has Magichange 1 & 2. It would be a much bigger mess than before.

11 – Could I use this guide to find other grinding spots?

Yes, it's possible. However, if you plan to use it against enemies on a 3X3 grid you may need to modify Disgaea's original PC Guide. It has at least two characters. You will need to customize it a little, but it is already there.
