Crafting made Easier (New Player Guide)

So, most of us have all been there, we will find ourselves an excuse to avoid levelling up our crafting on a new character because of just how many items can actually be crafted and we don’t want to deal with it.

This is a short guide with very simple steps and a few tips to make your time easier.

Your crafting trainers are found on the fleet, simply open your map by pressing (M) and navigate your way to the indicated section and go down the steps into the area.

Tip 1. Do not simply buy every schematic as you go, this makes the crafting interface much harder to understand if your new.

So you have selected your crafting skill, now you want to make the items known as “bonded attachments”. No other items are necessary other than these to level up your crafting quickly.

Tip 2. Quick travel to your stronghold if you have a GTN inside whilst standing next to your crafting skills trainer. This will allow you to jump back and forth very quickly if you need to buy materials without travelling around the fleet. New players get lost easily.

It is important to realise that every attachment, needs to be built first after your crafting hits a certain level, this is indicated by a small circle of a certain colour next to that item.

Tip 3. Grey means your level wont increase, Green means you can now go back to your crafting trainer and take the next attachment schematic, yellow means you still have a bit to go yet and orange means your just getting started. These are relative terms easier to understand like this.

When you have crafted enough of your first attachment for the circle to change colour to either green or grey, leave your stronghold and return to the fleet. Grab the next attachment type and repeat.

Not a very in depth guide, but I hope people wanting a quick explanation can find one here rather than watching a 30 minute YouTube video.

Good Luck.
