Want to have a big infamy? Want to flex your big D on your infamy card? Or maybe you just want the Becoming a King Among Thieves achievement. In that case, this guide is for you!
Introduction
Trying to reach infamy 100-500 is one of the hardest and the most tedious thing you can try to achieve in PAYDAY 2. Are you looking for the easiest and the fastest way to achieve this incredible feat? With this strategy you can hypothetically get from infamy 0 to 500 in 400 hours and from 0 to 100 in 70 hours!

Mods
In order to be more efficient while doing this infamy farming, we need some mods. The first mod is needed in order to fix Pocket ECMs, which can sometimes break and ruin the heist (Only the host needs to have the mod installed).
PECM Bug Fix : https://modworkshop.net/mod/32373 – [modworkshop.net]
The second needed mod is an ecm timer. There are two main categories of ecm timer : HUDs and simple timers. I personally use PocoHUD3, but you can also use VanillaHud+, Wolfhud or any other HUDs that display ECM timer. You can also find mods that only display the ECM timer if you don’t want to mess with the base HUD of the game.
PocoHUD3 : https://steamcommunity.com/app/218620/discussions/15/2980781849379353493/ – [steamcommunity.com]
ECM Timer : https://modworkshop.net/mod/25509 – [modworkshop.net]
The third mod that I recommend is Lobby Settings, which allows you to keep your previous lobby settings, making heist creation a lot faster and less annoying to do overall.
Lobby Settings : https://pd2mods.z77.fr/lobby_settings.html – [z77.fr]
Finally, another mod I recommend is No Flashbang/Concussion Tinnitus Ringing. This mod is for your ears, it removes the ringing sound from you shooting yourself with Akimbo Judges.
No Flashbang/Concussion Tinnitus Ringing : https://modworkshop.net/mod/22127 – [modworkshop.net]
That is all for the needed/recommended mods.
You can have more, you can have less.
Here is a guide to help in your mod downloading process :
DLCs
There are two DLCs needed for this strategy but not 100% of the time.
The first DLC needed is the PAYDAY 2: The Big Bank heist – [steampowered.com] . Only the host needs this however.
The second DLC needed is the PAYDAY 2: Gage Shotgun Pack – [steampowered.com] . Only the second wind heisters need this however.

What is ECM rushing
What is ECM rushing?
It makes some heists a lot easier and faster to complete thanks to the ECM Jammer. At first, you can have one ECM Jammer that will deactivate cameras and cellphones during 20 seconds. Fully upgraded, you have two ECM Jammers that can delay pagers and have their duration upped to 30 seconds. Alongside the hacker perk deck that adds two pocket ECMs to your inventory, you now have a lot of tools to help you in stealth. That’s where coordinated play comes into the place. With four heisters, you have a lot of time to complete most maps and having an incredible XP efficiency.
Strategy
The strategy, called “4 maps” (a*suming that you start at level 0 with all experience boost* and infamy 25 / XXV) is to do
- Ukrainian Job
- Level 41 skills
- Diamond Store
- Shadow Raid
- Election Day
- Level 66 skills
- Big Bank
- Diamond Store
- Shadow Raid
- Election Day
- Big Bank
- Election Day
- Big Bank
Here is a small description of each heist and why they are in this rotation. Ukrainian Job is an AFK heist, allowing for enough skills after completion to start the rush. It also allows each heister to take a break after a rotation. Diamond store is one of the faster xp/min heist, it is also very easy to complete. Shadow Raid is also very good for xp/min and it is easy and fast to complete. Election Day is fast and easy to complete, and it gives a sweet xp boost for Big Bank. Having 4,5 heists in the rotation also helps avoiding reductions. After Ukrainian Job, heisters will have enough skill points to have the beginning of their builds. Following Election Day, they have enough skill points to complete their builds for the remaining of the infamy.
If you’re not starting from level 0, you can just do the rotation of DS -> SR -> ED -> BB until you get to level 100.
ECMs and PECMs Cycles
Rushing with ECMs
There are two different ECM cycles that you will use in your in runs. Keep in mind that both cycles will follow lobby order, which is :
Green -> Blue -> Red -> Yellow
The first cycle is the one without pocket ECMs. You will use this first cycle for three maps
- Diamond Store
- Shadow Raid
- Election Day
This cycle is very straightforward.
- Green will use their first ECM, then their last ECM timed with the ending of their first ECM
- Blue will use their first ECM timed with the ending of green’s last ECM, then use their last ECM timed with the ending of their first ECM
- Red will use their first ECM timed with the ending of blue’s last ECM, then use their last ECM timed with the ending of their first ECM
- Yellow will use their first ECM timed with the ending of red’s second ECM, then use their last ECM timed with the ending of their first ECM
Even though red and yellow are written in this cycle, they will not use a single ECM at high level rushing in those maps. A lower level of rushing might use one or two of red’s ECMs on Shadow Raid or Election Day day 2.
Video
Rushing with PECMs
The second cycle is the one with pocket ECMs. You will use this first cycle for the last map.
- Big bank
This cycle is a bit harder, but it’s still easy. 😀 You just have to be a bit more focussed.
- The heist will start by a double PECM rotation : green, blue, red, yellow, green, blue, red and yellow
- Green will use their first ECM timed with the end of yellow’s last PECM, then use their last ECM timed with the ending of their first ECM
- Blue will use their first ECM timed with the ending of green’s last ECM
- After blue’s first ECM, a single pocket ECM round starts. The PECM still follows the regular order of green, blue, red and yellow. PECM round happening during the rush are usually typed before they happen by the host, to remind everyone
- Blue will then use their last ECM timed with the end of yellow’s PECM
- Red will use their first ECM timed with the end of blue’s last ECM
- After red’s first ECM, a single pocket ECM round starts. The PECM still follows the regular order of green, blue, red and yellow. PECM round happening during the rush are usually typed before they happen by the host, to remind everyone
- Red will then use their last ECM timed with the end of yellow’s PECM
- Yellow will use their first ECM timed with the ending of red’s last ECM, then use their last ECM timed with the ending of their first ECM
- Following this, a single pocket ECM round starts, if needed, still following the regular order of green, blue, red and yellow
Here is an image showing the beginning and the general idea.

Example Run
Here are two example runs, the first one being our fastest run ever and the second one being the first run uploaded.
First run
Second run
Quick Notes
While ECM rushing, there are two things that you want to be careful of when placing your ECMs. First, place the ECMs on walls. This is because some grounds are broken and will result in a failure in a rush – Video below. Second, you want to place your ECMs on static surface, meaning that the surface can’t be interacted with, because some of those surfaces will destroy the ECMs once they are interacted with – Videos Below.
Desync
It takes 2 seconds to deploy an ECM, which is reduced to 1 second if you have Jack of all trades. However, except if you’re hosting, your ping to the host will make a ECM placed at 1 second risky. For the reason, try to ECM while adding +- ,5 seconds to your ECM placement.
Election Day – day 2
On the second day of Election Day, dsync might cause a delay between the crate opening and the voting machine showing. Here is an example of this
Calling Roles
Here’s how you want to call the different roles.
Diamond Store
- Security + Security side bagging (sec + bag sec)
- Guards + Stairs side bagging (sec + bag stairs)
- Guards + Securing (sec)
- Keycard + Securing (kc + sec)
This is a general example, you’ll be fine as long as you don’t forget to send someone to security and someone else to the keycard. You’ll also need two people for the bagging and two people for the securing.
Shadow Raid
- 1
- 2
- 3 (needs saw!)
- 4
This heist is pretty straight-forward to call.
Election Day
Day 1
- Tagger
- Far left
- Mid + Pc
- Far right (this is the only one doing sw on ed1)
Day 2
- Far left
- Up and Out
- Middle
- Right
Big Bank
Beginning
- Security
- Downstairs
- Downstairs
- Upstairs
Post time lock / pre-vault
- Vault
- Left
- Right
- PC
Those roles can be called during the time lock.
Vault
- Down / right
- Up / left
Only the two saw heisters have to call a role for this. Those roles can be called while the vault opens.
——————————————
Weapons
For weapons, you don’t always need to have 1 precise weapon, although, for some roles and speed, you may need to use a certain weapon. The most important thing is to have the team boost equipped.
Primary – Saw Build
In most heist, your primary will be the saw, duh.
Attachments
- Team boost
- Silent motor
- Sharp Blade
Even though the saw is needed for your saw build, in the case you are doing the security role on Diamond Store, you may want to use a secondary saw, in that case, I suggest using the Raven Shotgun.
Attachments
- Team boost
- Silencer
- Rest doesn’t really matter, don’t take HE or fire rounds though
Secondary- Saw Build
With a saw build, your secondary doesn’t really matter. With that being said, I recommend using the Locomotive or the Judge. You can also use a pistol or a smg if you want to be weird like me, altough keep in mind to have a more or less good acccuracy and stability.
Locomotive
Attachments
- Team boost
- Silencer
- Rest doesn’t really matter, don’t take HE or fire rounds though
Judge
Attachments
- Team boost
- Silencer
- Rest doesn’t really matter, don’t take HE or fire rounds though
Gecko M2
Attachments
- Team boost
- Rest doesn’t really matter
In the case you are doing the security role on Diamond Store, you may want to use a secondary saw alongside the Raven Shotgun.
Attachments
- Team boost
- Silent motor
- Sharp Blade
Primary – Second Wind Build
Your primary for the second wind build will be the akimbo Judges. With those, 1 HE rounds to your feet will remove your armor and activate second wind for your team.
Attachments
- Team boost
- HE rounds
- Silencer
Secondary- Second Wind Build
You secondary still doesn’t really matter. With that being said, I highly recommend using the Locomotive or the Judge. The reason why I don’t recommend pistols or smgs here is because you’ll have shotgun skills, one of them being close by, meaning you can run and shoot with shotguns.
Locomotive
Attachments
- Team boost
- Silencer
- Rest doesn’t really matter, don’t take HE or fire rounds though
Judge

Other Information
This section will provide you with everything related to your build, except for the weapons and the skill points.
Armor : Two-Piece Suit – You don’t need armor, you will kill the guards. An armor would just slow you down and we don’t want that!
Equipment : ECM – The ECMs make this whole farming strategy possible by blocking the cameras, pagers and phone calls.
Throwable : Pocket ECM (Also known as PECM) – The Pocket ECMs allow you to have longer rushes, by adding more ECM time.
Melee : Ice Pick (Recommended) – You can use any melee weapon you want, but the Ice Pick has top melee damage, top concealment (even though it’s not really needed), fast swing and fast recovery.
Perk Deck Hacker – In order to get access to the Pocket ECMs, you need to have the hacker perk deck. Be sure to have the Hacker perk deck maxed out in order to have maximum value from the Pocket ECMs.
Basics of Saw
There is one trick that you should know about the saw.
Silent saw trick
In order to understand this trick, you have to understand how your weapons’ sound work. The alert sound of gunshots has a 1,5s cooldown. So by using your saw in the air, the next 1,5 seconds (bit less considering the time you go from the air to the surface) can be used to reduce the range of the saw noise. Here’s an example!
As you can see, the first time I used the saw the guard inside didn’t become alerted, however, the second time I used the saw he got alerted.
Level 41 Build – Saw
This is the skill tree you’ll want to have at lvl 41 for a saw build.
Mastermind
Nothing needed in this tree.
Enforcer
- Transporter is taken because it add throw range to your bag throws, making it very useful for securing, bagging and adding speed to the heists overall
- Portable Saw aced is taken to improve the saw in a needed way
Technician
- Jack Of All Trades is taken in order to reduce the time you need to place your ECMs down to 1 second
Ghost
- Chameleon aced is taken to access to ECM Overdrive and Nimble
- ECM Overdrive basic is taken to upgrade your ECMs, making them have longer effects
- Nimble Aced is taken to gain the ability to lockpick safes (You may need this in Big Bank) and to access ECM Specialist
- ECM Specialist is the most important skill of this whole strategy : it allows you to place 2 ECMs and to block pagers with your ECMs, incredible!
- Duck And Cover is taken to improve your stamina, make you faster and access Parkour.
- Parkour is taken to make you faster
Fugitive
Nothing needed in this tree.
Level 66 Build – Saw
Mastermind
Nothing needed in this tree.
Enforcer
- Transporter aced is taken to speed you up while moving heavy bags
- Portable saw is removed because Frenzy+Berserker is better for saw damage, and at Level 66 there’s not enough points for both
- Bulletstorm aced is taken because it will allow to open up the deposit boxes in Big Bank
Technician
- Jack of all trades aced is taken to have an ammo bag
Ghost
There is nothing new in this tree.
Fugitive
- Martial arts is taken to get to frenzy
- Bloodthirst aced is taken to get to frenzy
- Berserker aced is taken for the additional damage for the saw and to get to frenzy
- Frenzy is taken to start with berserker at the damage boost you need it
Basics of Second Wind
Welcome to the second wind part of this guide!
What is Second wind
Second wind is a skill from the silent killer branch inside the ghost tree. The basic version of this skill gives you 30% boost to your movement speed for 5 seconds when your armor breaks. The aced version gives the effect to your crew.
How to reliably proc Second wind
In order to reliably proc second wind, you’ll want to bring akimbo judges equipped with HE rounds. Shooting at your feet will destroy your armor and boost your movement speed. You’ll want a hud mod or get used to the sound of it in order to have a 100% efficiency in your heisting.
No second wind zone
There are couple of areas where second wind shouldn’t be used
- Inside the Diamond Store before the alarm in off
- Before entering the warehouse in Shadow Raid
- In Election Day – day 1, except if you’re doing far right role
- Election Day – day 2
- Big Bank – before the time lock and during the time lock
- In the escape zones
- In bags
Applications and tips
Here is a good video in order to learn more in depth about sw.
Level 41 Build – Second Wind
This is the skill tree you’ll want to have at level 41 for a sw build.
Enforcer
- Underdog to unlock other skills
- Shotgun CQB for faster reload speed with shotguns and to unlock Close By
- Close By for hipfiring shotguns while sprinting
- Resilience to unlock Transporter
- Transporter for throwing bags further
Ghost
- Chameleon ACE to unlock other skill
- ECM overdrive to increase ECM duration
- Nimble ACE for faster lockpicking and unlocking ECM Specialist
- ECM Specialist for 2 ECMs, longer ECM duration and pager blocking
Level 66 Build – Second Wind
This is the skill tree you’ll want to have at level 41 for a sw build.
Enforcer
- Ace Shotgun CQB for even faster shotgun reloading
- Ace Transporter to speed you up while moving heavy bag
Technician
- Ace Jack of all trades so you can bring a second deployable (in most cases this will be a First Aid kit or a medic bag)
Ghost
- Everything basically stays the same here
Fugitive
- Equilibrium to unlock Akimbo (the skill)
- Akimbo ACE to get more ammo in our Akimbo Judges. :steamhappy:

Ukrainian Job
For Ukranian Job you dont really need to optimize it that much since the time only counts after it.
But theres still some general rules.
- ALWAYS enter through right
- Go through the first window, dom / kill the cam guy, place the drill
- Meanwhile someone else should have placed the second drill
- After that its basicly just waiting for the drills, but you can kill the time by collecting packages
Diamond Store
Objective
The main objective of Diamond Store is to secure all bags. This heist is the highest xp effiency heist in this list. It’s also the fastest heist to complete.
Preplanning
There is no preplanning needed for Diamond Store.
Alarmed gla*s
There is alarmed gla*s protected all the diamonds. You need to be careful about it when killing guards and in the beginning.
Beginning Roles
There are three roles in the beginning of Diamond Store :
- Security – Saw build
- Guards + Gla*s – Any build (2 heisters)
- Keycard – Any Build
Security
The heister doing the security role will rush to open the security room.
If the keypad is there, the heister will type “S” or “C” for security or cams.
Guards
The heisters doing this role will enter the store and dominate/kill all three roaming guards. After that is done, they will shoot all the windows in front of the store.
Keycard
The heister doing this role will enter the store and rush to the manager to kill her and get the keycard. This is the manager! Unlucky her 🙁
After getting the keycard, the heister will go to the keypad to remove the alarm.
The pathing this heister should take should guarantee they find the keypad in one go.
After putting the keycard in the keypad, the heister can type “a” to let the other heisters know that it is safe to break the gla*s. However, at a high level, this is not needed because the heisters will be looking at their inventory and see when the keycard isn’t there anymore.
Ending Roles
There are two roles in the ending of Diamond Store :
- Bagger – Preferably a saw build (2 heisters)
- Securer – Preferably a second wind build (2 heisters)
Bagger
The two baggers will split the store into two sides
- Stair side (yellow)
- Security side (purple)
The baggers will grab the bags and throw them in the street from inside the store.
Securer
The two securers will grab bags thrown from the baggers then run with them from the street into the van, while providing second wind to their team.
Video
Shadow Raid
Objective
The main objective of Shadow Raid is to secure 12 bags of regular loot (weapons, gold, money, etc.), and the 4 pieces of Samurai Armor, as there is a large XP bonus for stealing the whole armor. The reason for stopping at 12 regular loot bags is because there’s no XP reward beyond 16 bags: thus, since 4 of those 16 will be the armor, there’s no reason to get any more than 12 regular loot.
The main objective of Shadow Raid is to secure 12 bags of regular loot (weapons, gold, money, etc.), as going above 12 won’t grant more experience. You will also want to secure the samurai armor, because securing it will give you an exp boost. At the end of the heist, you should have 16 bags secured (12 being regular loot and 4 being the armor pieces).
Preplanning
You need one thing in preplanning for Shadow Raid : the warehouse doors garbage loot drop off point. You will secure the bags inside of it.
Second wind
Second wind is a bit more complicated in Shadow Raid. In order to avoid the orange civ running around out of fear, the second wind heisters should wait to be inside the warehouse before using second wind.
Artifacts
Artifacts are heavy. There are only four artifact spawns that are worth bagging
- The two closest crates (both are listed as number 8 for role 1)
- The two upstairs crates (listed as number 4 and number 6 for role 4)
Also, you may not know that it is faster to spam jump while you are carrying an artifact!
The bad scenario
There is a 5% chance that the orange civilian will not spawn going down the stairs. In this scenario, the orange civilian will be in the same room that role 4 grabs the crowbar. The heister doing role 4 will type “5” in chat to inform role 3 to grab the keycard of the guard inside the security room. They will coordinate together in order to open the vault.
Roles
There are four roles in Shadow raid :
- Role 1 / Warehouse : Any build
- Role 2 / Offices : Any build
- Role 3 / Upstairs (main) : Saw Build
- Role 4 / Upstairs + vault : Any build
Role 1 / Warehouse

– if it doesn’t have loot : run past it.
3) Check the two money spawns
4) Grab the coke (guaranteed spawn) and look if both weapons (6) spawned
5) Check server spawn and money
6) Go back to get the weapons if they spawned
7) Go grab the server, if it didn’t spawn in the security room

Where to throw bags
Upstairs : through the security room window
Armor : Towards the forklift near the loot off drop point
Video
Shadow raid is probably the worst to explain in a written guide form I hate everything about Election Day – Day 2. Here is the video so you can see an example, pathings, spawn, etc. in details.
Election Day – Day 1
Objective
The main objective of the first day of Election Day is to tag the right truck as fast as possible. In order to do that, the map is split in 4 sections to find which truck is the right one as fast as possible.
Preplanning
There is no preplanning required on the first day of Election Day.
Guards
When you see guards, kill them. This will make the whole day go faster, easier and without any downs.
Second wind
Second wind is a bit more complicated in Election Day. In order to avoid the guards being aggressive, only the heister doing Role 3 / Far right + SW will be allowed to use it.
Open containers
When you see an open container, it means that this color is not the one of the good truck (Except when it is, check “The bad scenario” section). If it is one checked by your role (to avoid unnecessary spam), type the first letter of the color in chat, to help the heister doing role 1.
- “B” for blue
- “G” for green
- “R” for red
- “Y” for yellow
The bad scenario
There is a 5% chance that an open container will have election posters in it. However, this shouldn’t matter, since everyone is checking all of their containers fast. If the four colors are written in chat, simply backtrack in order to find which color has the election posters in it.
Roles
There are four roles in the first day of Election Day :
- Role 1 / Tagger : Any build
- Role 2 / Far Left : Any build
- Role 3 / Mid + PC : Any build
- Role 4 / Far right + SW : Second wind build
Role 1 / Tagger
The tagger checks five containers while going to the trucks. They do not need to type the colors since they’re the one tagging, but if they don’t trust their memory, the can still type the colors in chat. Here are the five containers. (There are two in the last picture)
Using company names to find the right truck
There are six trucks and four companies. With that in mind, there are always two companies that will be on two trucks. Those four trucks are not the right truck, meaning the the right truck will always have a unique company. With this in mind, it is possible to tag the truck before all colors are typed in chat or before PC is used
Role 2 / Far left
The far left heister goes to the far left and then checks five containers. Here are the five containers. (There are two in the third picture)
Role 3 / Mid + PC
The mid + PC heister starts by checking two containers in the spawn area. They then check the three entrance containers. Then, they check the three middle containers. Finally they go straight to the computer. Here are the two spawn containers.
Here are the three entrance containers (There are two in the first picture)
Here are the three middle containers. (There are two in the first picture)
Finally, here are the computer spawns.
Using the computer to find the right truck
The companies shown are on the computer are those of the wrong trucks. The computer also tries to list the companies in a fixed order :
- Avalon
- Kranich
- Omni
- Hefty
In three hacks, we can always get the right truck. With that said, we can use the two previous pieces of information together in order to find the right company : “The AK trick”. It’s called the AK trick, because you only need to remember the first two companies.
- For example, if the first company shown is Kranich, skipping Avalon, meaning that the right truck is Avalon.
- For example, the first company shown is Avalon, the it goes straight to Omni, skipping Kranich, meaning that the right truck is Kranich.
You don’t need to remember Omni/Hefty in the order, because they are the third hack and you can always get the right company in three hacks.
Role 4 / Far right + SW
The far right + SW heister is the only heister that should be using second wind. To do this properly, they should enter through the right (to avoid being seen by the guards around the gate, as that would trigger their instantly aggressive response against them and their team).
They will then check three containers on their left and go check the three containers in the far right area. Here is their entrance.
Here are the first three containers that they will check. (There are three in the picture :D)
Finally, here are the three containers in the far right area.
Election Day – Day 2
Objective
The main objective of the first day of Election Day day 2 is to find and hack the 6 voting machines as fast as possible. In order to do that, the map is split in 4 sections to open the crates as fast as possible.
Preplanning
There is no preplanning required on the first day of Election Day.
Guards
When you see guards, kill them. This will make the whole day go faster, easier and without any downs.
Helping
You won’t always get lucky with the crowbar spawns, your fellow heisters also won’t. After you’re done doing your crates, go help the other heisters, especially if they haven’t found a crowbar.
Saw / Keycards
Saw and keycards are useless on this day. Using them to open gates is time loss. There will always be 6 crates with a voting machine outside of the gates.
DATA
The map is split into 4 roles
- Left (Entering through left)
- Up and out (Entering through left)
- Mid (Entering through right)
- Right (Entering through right)
The two maps under show the number of possible spawns for each roles in each sections of the map. In addition to showing to number of possible spawns, they also show the number of crates that will actually spawn. For example, the first room on the left has 4 possible spawns, but only 1 or 2 crates will spawn.
Confession
Here’s a confession for you, writing the general pathing for each role isn’t always easy, but it was doable for the other maps. However, Election Day – Day 2 is kind of a mess. Therefore, I recommend that you watch Marcmb’s video. It will show the pathing for left side crowbars spawns and the pathing for right side crowbars spawns alongside other useful information.
Big Bank – Part 1
Objective
The main objective of the Big Bank is to get all loot as fast as possible.
Preplanning
There are three elements that are needed in preplanning for this heist.
- Bus escape
- Silent alarm. 30s. delay
- Time lock glitch routine
Starting the rush
There are two possibilities as to when to when to start the rush.
1) You can start the rush when the time lock starts
2) You can start the rush as soon as the heist begins
Option 1 is recommended for newer heisters because it’s safer and allows for more time to secure everything at the end. Option 2 is harder but will also result in faster Big bank overall.
First objective
The first objective is to start the time lock as soon as possible. To achieve this, here are the early roles.
Early roles
There are three roles in the beginning of Big Bank.
- Security – Saw
- Downstairs computers – 2 heisters
- Upstairs computers – 1 heister
Security
This heister will find the security room ASAP and start hacking the computer to help the three other heisters find the correct pc to hack.
Here are the locations of the security room
Downstairs
The two heisters will coordinate downstairs and look for the pc while the security heister hacks the computer.
This is the placement for the first heister (Wall side)
This is the placement for the second heister (Stairs side)
Upstairs
Like the downstairs heisters, although all alone :(, they will look for the pc while the security heister hackers the computer. This is their placement
Hacking the computer
Once the heister is hacking the right computer, showed by the text in the screen in the screenshot under this text, they can type “got” in chat to let the other heisters know that the right computer has been found. Following this, one heister should go by the time lock to be ready to start it as soon as possible. If you are starting the rush at the same time as the time lock, every heister should mask up to get ready to start the rush. If you started the rush at the beginning, the heister going to the time lock shouldn’t be the host, because the time lock will overlap with the first ECM, affecting overall efficiency.
While you wait – fun time lock waiting activities
There are fives things that you have to do while you wait for the time lock to be over and one bonus activity if you’ve done all the others.
- Find the manager’s keycard
- Find the random keycard
- Answer the phone
- Talk about the “after time lock roles”
- Tying up civilians to delay a*sault, because aslong as you have one hostage the a*sault will be delayed by 10 seconds.
- Find packages
Manager’s keycard
When a heister finds the manager’s keycard, they should type m to let the other heisters know that they found it.
The first spot to check is *in* the manager. Either kill him or tie him up, then look if he dropped the keycard. If he didn’t, the heister should type m in s to let the other heisters know that they can stop looking for the manager. The manager is this nice-looking man.
If the keycard isn’t dropped by the manager, it’s hidden in his safe. Luckily, we came prepared with our skills. Find the safe in his office, open it and go put the keycard in the time lock door.
Random keycard
When a heister finds the random keycard, they should type r to let the other heisters know that they found it.
There are 28 keycard spawns
- 3 by the tellers
- 5 in cafeteria
- 2 in the management offices
- 1 on a table next to the upstairs computers
- 9 upstairs computers
- 8 downstairs computers
Answering the phone
When the phone is ringing, you have 43 seconds to answer it so you’re fine. You can also finish your safe opening if you’re currently doing that and the rest of the team is looking for packages.
Packages
You can find packages to increase the xp gained by Big Bank. Happy searching! (4 possible spawns in the vault area)
Post time lock roles
There are four roles post time lock.
- Vault
- Left button
- Right button
- PC – Second wind heister
Each heister will type their roles while waiting for the end of the time lock. The roles are pretty straight-forward but here’s a small explanation of each one.
Vault : This heister will run straight to the vault to interact with it as soon as possible.
Left : This heister will run straight to the left button, as soon as the vault heister interacts with the vault, they’ll interact with the button.
Right : This heister will run straight to the right button, as soon as the vault heister interacts with the vault, they’ll interact with the button.
PC : As soon as the door opens, they’ll use SW. Then they’ll wait for the PC to be ready and then interact with it.
Vault roles
Saw
The two saw heisters will coordinate by typing “left or right” and “up or down” (for example (right/down). The second heister will do the opposite. The way to an*lyse this when the vault opens, if it’s a two floors vault, up/down will come into play. If it’s a one floor vault, left/right will come into play. They’ll open up the gates then saw open the deposits.
Sawing strategy
This is the ammo bag’s time to shine. Prior to the vault opening, heisters should have emptied all saw blades except for one. Then, they’ll use some ammo to open the gates and start opening one deposit wall. (each saw heister should open one deposit wall). When they are at 15 or less ammo remaining for the saw, they’ll place the ammo bag, take ammo and open the whole deposit wall with bulletstorm. Keep in mind that only five bags can spawn in one deposit wall, so if you see five bags, no need to keep going.
SW
The SW heisters will throw the bags the bus location following the section under this one. The first goal is to empty the vault, then get them closer to the bus. While doing this, they’ll use second wind to speed up the team.
Throwing bags rules
Here are two screenshots from the end area of Big Bank.
For vaults 2 and 3, you want to follow the zones corresponding to the colors of the bags.
– Throw the gold in the first yellow zone then up the stairs.
– Throw the money down the stairs.
For vault 1, you want to
– Throw the money in the green zone “a”
– Throw the gold up the stairs in the yellow zone
For vault 4 and the ending, you want to
– Throw the money through the window into the final zone
– Throw the gold through the doorway into the final zone
Big Bank – Part 2
Did you know Steam guide’s sections had a character limit? Well I didn’t. Anyways, here’s the end
Regarding the green zone “a”, only throw money bags there if you have vault 1.
If you have time at the end, you can throw the bags closer to where the bus will be. Be careful of not throwing them too far which will cause them to get hit by the bus and fly everywhere.
Videos
You’re lucky! Marcmb has a whole TWO videos on Big Bank.
3-man alternative to the heists
Here are short explanation on what changes to do if you only have a lobby of 3 heisters.
Diamond Store
For Diamond Store, you’ll want to remove one of the securer. You’ll have two baggers and one securer.
Shadow Raid
For Shadow Raid, you’ll want to combine role 3 and role 4. A saw heister will do role 3&4. This should be fine as long as the civilian spawns going downstairs, in the opposite scenario, one other heister will have to help him.
Election Day – Day 1
For the first day of Election Day, you’ll want far left and far right to do what mid + pc does. Far left will check spawn and the middle row, then they’ll go in the left warehouse. Far right will check their usual containers then go into the middle warehouse.
Election Day – Day 2
For the second day of Election Day, you’ll want to do one role as usual. After you’re done with your role, you’ll want to cover the role that was not done yet.
Big Bank
For Big Bank, you’ll want to start the rush after the time lock is done in order to have enough ecm time to complete the map.

How To Find Players
There are a couple of places where you can find players, I’ll focus on two.
- Marcmb’s CRIME.NET – [CRIME.NET]
- Payday Grind+
https://steamcommunity.com/groups/MarcmbCrimeNET – [steamcommunity.com]
This is the most active community of the two. This one is has no prerequisite to join. It’s also more active, but heisters from any level will be there, from newer to experienced. This is a good training grounds.
Payday Grind+ – [steamcommunity.com]
This community is a bit less active, but it’s made of more active and experienced rushers. However, in order to join, you must request to join and pa*s a trial. The trial is fairly easy, it consists of doing a couple two-man diamond stores. Request to join when you’ve become more experienced!
