This guide will briefly explain how to fix crashes when loading maps or playing on PCs that have higher shader settings.
 

Only the Parameter

It's very easy. Just copy the parameter below, and put it on the l4d2 Steam game launch options.

This parameter will allow to you to play again with higher settings on most of your PCs. However, there is a negative aspect to it…and sooo far this negative aspect is the fact that it may decrease the overall framerate when using your flashlights on specific spots (depending your PC), but nothing major to be concerned about.

It was mostly because i was concearned that I had to always keep a notepad with this parameter on my computer everytime i played on higher settings. However, the notepad is now saved online to guide steam so i don’t have to worry anymore about saving a paper.
