A quick guide to help you install the Northstar Client and be able to play multiplayer again.
 
 

What is the Northstar client?

The Northstar client is an open-source project that offers the ability to host modified Titanfall 2 servers using custom scripts and a*sets to create custom content.
 
 
 

Download and installation

1. The project is hosted on GitHub, if you happen to find any other download option I would advise not using it. You can get the newest version of the client form here – [github.com] 
2. extract the content of the .zip file inside your Titanfal 2 directory. It should be located at “C:\Program Files (x64)\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Titanfall2” by default.
    
    
    
   You can easily navigate to it via your steam library by, Right-clicking on Titanfall 2 going to
    
    
    
   
    
    
    
   properties…>Local Files>Browse…
    
    
    
    
    
   This is how your directory should look like when you are done
3. In the same directory you will find the “NorthstarLauncher”, run it. The game should boot up and you will see a notification asking you to send your origin token. Press “Yes” and you should be ready.

 
If you would like to lunch the game directly from steam you can go again on the game properties on steam and insert
 
“[Location of the game]” %command%
 
 
For example in my case it will be exactly like this
 
“C:\Program Files (x64)\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Titanfall2\NorthstarLauncher.exe” %command%
 
 
Keep in mind that this is not very ideal and the better solution would be to Add a Non-steam game and lunch it from there.
