Basic data
Basic informations about the ores :
- Ore : The name of the ore
- Hitpoints : How many damages you need to apply to break the ore completely.
- Durability : How many damages the pickaxe takes every time it hits the ore. The damage taken by the ore is the same whether you hit at 1% or 100%.
- Respawn time : How long you have to wait in seconds to see a node replenish.
Disclaimer : The durability was measured manually and may be inaccurate ±0.5.

Value and processing
Values regarding the ores, the process of smelting and the action of selling to the Shop Keeper :
- Ore : The name of the ore
- Price : (in $/ore) it’s the value of a single ore.
- Price : (in $/ingot) it’s the value of a single ingot. Doesn’t apply to some ore that you cannot smelt (stone, coal, aluminite, bone and molten).
- Smelt time : (in seconds) is the amount of time required to create an ingot.

Computed numbers
- Ore : The name of the ore
- Gold / Durability : The ratio of money gained for selling an ingot over the cost of durability of your pickaxe.
- Time for full stack smelt : (in seconds) is the amount of time the furnace will be busy.
- Gold per second of cook : In simple terms “How many $$ you earn per second if your furnace is kept busy 24/7.
- Burns 1 coal : (in seconds) is rate at which the combustible is used

Tips and tricks
Here are things you should know.
When you place a stack of ores in the furnace, you can immediatly add 4 more ores (or the amount needed to melt 1 ingot). This can make the furnace work for 1 minute longer for the case of Demonite/Soul ore.
You can move during the mining animation, right after the impact is done. This saves you a lot of milliseconds that adds up every time you grind.
To be continued.
Why is mining Soul Ore the best option at the moment ?
Soul vs Demonite
Both ore are at the same tier.
Both requires 4 ore to make one ingot.
Usually the process of smelting ores to ingots adds a value of 2x to the price. (Because an ingot requires 4 ore but sells for 8x the price of one ore). For demonic ore the process of smelting adds 1.7x to the value.
Mining Demonic requires more effort than Soul, but rewards the same. Therefore Demonic < Soul if you intend to earn a lot of money fast.
Soul vs Others
The ratio of “Gold over Durability” is the same for most of the ores (except Demonic ore). It’s 80. But to reach the same amount of gold earned, you’ll need to spend more times harvesting lower ores. And this is not really worth it as your time is a limited resource.
