Fixes for known issues when playing the game in Windows 10.
How to enable saves
Go to the directory of the game located in
(C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\AstroPop Deluxe). Left-click then right-click WinAP.exe and select Properties. Go to the Compatibility tab, then enable “Run as administrator”. Click “Apply” in the lower right corner and then you may close the window.
Next, you will need to have Steam.dll inside the game folder in order to run AstroPop with admin privileges. Go to the main directory of Steam (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam) and locate Steam.dll. Copy this file (do not move it, only copy) and paste it inside the AstroPop folder.
Congratulations. Now the game should be able to run and have saving enabled.
Force Enabling Hardware Acceleration
From what I know so far, there is no known way to have Hardware Acceleration running natively in AstroPop Windows 10. However you can force the game to enable Hardware Acceleration, and it only needs a key combination.
Open AstroPop and press Ctrl+Alt+D to enable Debug Mode. You should hear a sound if this is successful. Then press Shift+F8 to force Hardware Acceleration. If done correctly, you should see this prompt:
Click OK, and that’s essentially it! Enjoy playing AstroPop!
