The Most Overrated

One of the most popular Pyro loadouts is the Degreaser + Shotgun + Powerjack. The Degreaser adds some switching speed, but it also heavily nerfs afterburn damage, basically incapacitating it.
 
 
 

The Most Underrated

So, how could we make a loadout that has both full afterburn damage, and really fast switching speed? Well…

Stock Flame Thrower + PANIC ATTACK + Melee of your choice

Using the stock Flame Thrower means you have full afterburn damage, and the maximum of 10 airblasts. Replacing the stock Shotgun with the Panic Attack allows you to switch weapons really fast, while having very minimal downsides. The Panic Attack is basically the stock Shotgun but with worse range – you always wanna be up close when you’re fighting people with it.

So using the Panic Attack for switch speed instead of the Degreaser is a far better trade-off with what gets nerfed. You lose almost all your afterburn damage with the Degreaser, but while using the Panic Attack instead of Shotgun, basically the only thing that gets affected is range – Panic Attack is more ineffective at long range than the Shotgun.
