Tips, Achievements and a Walkthrough, all explained for your planning pleasure or peace of mind.

Introduction

Man, I love these kinds of games, Im so glad they decided to re-master this and give it achievements!

The achievos themselves are not hard to get, some are hidden, some are tricky others are grindy, still, it was a joy playing the game trying to get them all!

I’ve never played this game before but I played Wasteland 2 and it was a treat looking at recognizable places and persons during my play.

This guide is for those needing tips on how to play (See Notes section) or are stuck someplace not knowing what to do (Check my Playthrough notes).

But as an achievement hunter, I also wanted to make a guide helping others like me who enjoy getting 100% achievements in a game like this.

Shout out to B.O.B for his two steam guides and the Wasteland Wiki which helped me when *I* was stuck.

There are no difficulty modes in the game and no truly missable achievements, although you can argue you can miss some achievements if you cant find them OR if you make bad decisions but you can always load a save and go for them, this is why I highly suggest you make a different save every 2 or 3 hours in case you need to go back or simply check the Achievement section to be on the lookout for them.

The game should take you about 12 to 16 hours to complete plus any extra time you want to grind for XP/money using any method you are most comfortable with.

if you’d want anything to add or for me to fix, let me know in the comments and I’ll get to it as soon as I can.

If the stuff I put in my playthrough makes you cringe, Im sorry, haha.

Alright! Here we go!

Stat Achievements

Achievements related to rank or stats.

Tips, Achievements Guide and Walkthrough - Wasteland Remastered - Stat Achievements - 6EE6AD405

Committed To The Cause

Raise an attribute to 30.

*You can start with an attribute at 18 and you’ll get 2 adventure points each Rank up, so if you focus on an attribute, you should max it out in 6 rank ups, you will eventually need 131 rank ups, so yeah.

Tips, Achievements Guide and Walkthrough - Wasteland Remastered - Stat Achievements - A99A54167

I’m A Professional

Raise a skill to level 6.

*You need to buy the first level of a skill to start training on it with use.

You can buy levels at a Library (closest one in Needles town) or just do an action over and over again and if you have enough Ranks, you will level it to 6 (for example, swimming).

You can see the progress on the following in Journal->Stats

Tips, Achievements Guide and Walkthrough - Wasteland Remastered - Stat Achievements - A3AC4FC26

Piles Of Cash

Earn $50,000 in a single game.

*You can do this in the slot machine at Rail Nomads, Vegas or Acapulco club in Needles, anywhere you can gamble really. I have to mention that the winnings are based on your Gambling skill AND the LK stat. If you are in a group, the first ranger’s skills and stats are the ones used, so if you have your gambler in another position, Re-Order or Disband him to be infront.

Spam the number {1} key a lot and you will eventually get this, sure, you might not HAVE 50k in your inventory but you “earned” and probably “lost” that amount of money by spamming gambling.

Tips, Achievements Guide and Walkthrough - Wasteland Remastered - Stat Achievements - D2423EAF3

Walked A Thousand Miles

Move 10,000 steps.

*Every time you move a space, thats a step.

Wasteland Warrior

Kill 1,000 enemies.

*1k enemies, anywhere, anytime.

—————————————-

Ranks

These serve as levels, radio in after getting XP to go up in Ranks (Levels)

You will need 131 level ups for this.. it’s a grind. That’s 8.4 MILLION XP

Check B.O.B’s guides or my walkthrough for XP exploits if you want to have an easier time.

Oddly enough, most melee weapons do the same damage.

  • There is no time limit in the game, camp and explore to your heart’s content.
  • You can click on a location to move towards it or enter it if you are on top of it.
  • You can use the arrow buttons to move.
  • To exit a location, you can try ESC or (P)lay
  • To fight a non-hostile NPC, Click on (E)nc to start a fight.
  • You can use {Space} or {Enter} key to continue.
  • Sometimes you will notice that a list says Page 1 of X, to move pages, use the down arrow key or scroll down with your mouse.
  • To Save/Load, you need to {F1} or {F5} to Quicksave.
  • An autosave happens when you enter an area, its different than the quicksave slot.
  • Rank XP is not earned the same, it depends on who kills.
  • When using items or skills, you want to use {Space} to use them on the tile you are standing on or move 1 tile back then when asked for a direction, aim for the tile.
  • To record a macro click CTRL+FX where FX is the hotkey you want. In an example, I want to macro U->3->1->2 which is the series of keys I need to make my climber climb, so after pressing CTRL+F2, I record the macro then when Im done, I go SHIFT+ESC. Now when I press SHIFT+F2, I can climb in the direction I want.
  • You can use your medic skill on Unconscious people to bring them back faster, its also required to heal SER and CRT conditions.
  • If your CON is red, it means you have a disease, go to the Doctor and choose Exam then Curing.
  • Have TWO rangers with Medic so if one is badly injured, the other can heal him/her.
  • You can climb fences! (Use->Skill->Climb->Direction)
  • (V)iew is used to switch between separate parties you might have using Dis(B)and.
  • You can talk to some NPCs by Use->Attribute->Charisma
  • You also need to disband in certain places to talk to people (like bars)

My macros:

F2-Climb

F3-Charisma

F4-Fight

F5-Perception

F6-Lockpick

My Playthrough

You can use my playthrough as a walkthrough but there are some places I skipped.

I tried to use spoilers wherever I could but I might have missed some places, so be ware.

All in all, I hope you use it only if you get stuck somewhere, exploring and figuring things by yourself is part of the fun!

Check the notes for interesting things like how to climb fences/over rocks, get unlimited XP, how to deliver things to NPCs, etc.

Part 1 – Start and Highpool

Hello all, welcome!

These are my notes on my playthrough, might be useful as a kind of walkthrough if you get stuck.

It also doubles as an achievement checklist, since I will record when I got the achievement, so if you are missing one, this might helpful pinpoint its location.

I never played the original, I did play wasteland 2 a few years back so I have high hopes for the game. I like these kind of games 🙂

Right off the bat, lots of familiar names and locations from W2. Neat!

Ok, got our demo party and its time to do a quick mission.

Highpool is nearby to the NW, let’s start there.

Highpool

Wow, we are broke, Im checking the shops and found a stash in a house!

Ok, before we do anything else, let’s grab an achievement.

Checking Secret#1 from B.O.B.s guide, slip and fall and then murder kids

Who has time to wait?

After a while, you’ll encounter a Hero! get ready for a tough fight (If you are a noob like me).

This is great way to learn how crappy ranged fights are, lots of misses if you are more than 2 spaces away and yes, Im dead.

Ok, since I forgot to save, Im at the quickload at the town’s entrance.

That’s fine, I’ll get my revenge with my own ranger team!

I’ll follow B.O.B’s advice and start selling things to create my own team in a bit.

Anyway, south of the roulette table, in the middle of the room, when you walk into that space, your quest will get updated and see some nice clues to ask about.

Quartz

Sold the stuff, going to Quartz really quick, head west and south around the mountain to the river then north, entering the bottom left square.

Tips, Achievements Guide and Walkthrough - Wasteland Remastered - Part 1 - Start and Highpool - C5B0E7CC1

This is the shop, sold my stuff and left town with some new bulletholes.

Ranger HQ

Back to HQ, deleted some, made some, transferred items, deleted, made more.

Notes:

  • Max roll on a stat is 18, Min is 4.
  • DEX+LK for ranged and knives, STR+AG+LK for melee.
  • Dont forget to give your rangers skills during character creation, the only places you can a*sign skill points is here and at libraries, closest one can be found at Needles, north from Quartz and west of the river. If you mess up a*signing skills, press {ESC} and try again.
  • If you use a skill a lot, it will level up but you need to buy the first level of a skill to start training on it with use, you can’t train a skill past your level (rank), so, if you want that pistol skill to be trained to level 2, you need to be level 2 or higher.

Stat Reference:

STR=melee damage, break doors, maybe climb and inventory space.

IQ=Skill points!

LK=Affects AIM and maybe damage for both melee and ranged.

SP=Dodge and how fast you attack after bullets.

AG=Dodge and Hand to Hand accuracy.

DEX=Aim for Ranged combat and lockpicking.

CHR=NPC interactions.

Later, I found about the XP Glitch and none of this mattered, I was swimming in stat points that in hindsight, rerolling for an hour was a waste of time.

Got my team ready!

Rail Nomads

Went to Rail Nomads to buy an Engine, I doubled clicked by mistake and bought two engines.. reload. The shop is on a railcar and has a neat little sign on top.

After that, back to Highpool to repair the water pump.

Highpool

At the house where you found the stash, there is a pump.

I spent a minute trying to figure out how to fix it, the thing is you know where the pump is, you go: Use->Item->Engine then the game asks you for a direction.

If you are standing on the tile where the pump is, you need to press {Space} when using the item.

If you are 1 tile away from that pump tile, when asked for direction, aim for it and it should work.

Go With The Flow

We got armors, bois and an achievement!

You also get a Mangler, It uses the AT skill, anti-tank.

You only have 1 ammo for it, for now, save it maybe?

Time to save and try Red Ryder again, dont forget to distribute and equip those armors.

Found out some kids dont spawn if its late night or early morning.

After a decent fight, I won, I think he had like 30 HP or something

He only left some ammo but got the achievement!

Now, we head to the cave.

Use your rope on top of hole to get in.

Use a match here if you want.

Agh, Rocks dont let me pa*s.. let’s see Shovel? no. Pick Ax? no.

Turns out you need to apply your Climb skill to it.

Let’s quickly talk about macros and let’s do one for Climb.

To record a macro click CTRL+FX where FX is the hotkey you want.

In this example, I want to macro U->3->1->2 which is the series of keys I need to make my climber climb, so after pressing CTRL+F2, I record the macro then when Im done, I go SHIFT+ESC.

Now every time I need to climb, I press F2 then the direction I need.

A dog will attack, you have to kill it.

Not An Animal Lover

‘Deal’ with Rex.

Continue climbing NW until you find Jackie, use (E)nc near her and then Hire her.

Escape the cave!

Got Jackie on my team and she will come along until we find something better.

Before leaving, buy 10 Snake Squeezins from the shop.

You need to deal with what you did to complete the Highpool Quest.

This event is actually a big deal with consequences in Wasteland 2 and 3.

Rail Nomads

Let’s go back to Rail Nomads since we already went there earlier.

Might as well do an Attack Macro: 5->5->5->5->5->1

Between the Locomotive and the Shop, you can find the Casino car.

Win a spin and get:

Winner Winner Chicken Dinner

Win a game in a Casino.

It’s a damn scam, but oh well.

To the right of the shop, you’ll find Hobo’s car.

He wants some panacea.. soma if you will.

Give them all 10 you bought (Use->Item)

In Squeezins Veritas

Listen to all of the Hobo’s auguries.

*All those oracles are saved in Paragraphs which you can see in your Journal.

To the right of that, in the caboose, you’ll get a quest!

A delivery quest! to Quartz no less!

Part 2 – Quartz and Desert Nomads

Quartz

You can picklock the cemetery gates, some cash and a broken toaster inside.

Keep the toaster for later, dont sell it.

At the bar, in the men’s bathroom save a kid and ask him about the gangs.

If you want to enter the women’s bathroom, Dis(B)and your party so only women are in a group.

You can Use->Attribute->Charisma to talk to the ladies.

You can find a Riddler on the NW corner and look at that, we found the answer at the cemetery earlier!

2nd Riddle Hint:Look at the letters

Last Riddle Hint:Look at the table in the NE corner.

West of the Bathrooms, you can find Head Crusher.

Credit Approved

Deliver the credit card to Headcrusher.

You can go west to the bar (Disband your face character to sit on the bar) to talk to Ellen.

Tell her Answer #3 from the riddle and you’ll get a key..holy crap, if it only was this easy irl.

South of the dancers, you can fight a group of punks, you’ll get a note and if you have high enough IQ, you’ll decipher the pa*sword: THANATOS

I searched most buildings but couldnt find anything.

Going NW from the bar, you can find the Stagecoach Inn.

Go west from the bar, north to the next street, east then north to the dead end road.

Tips, Achievements Guide and Walkthrough - Wasteland Remastered - Part 2 - Quartz and Desert Nomads - 387AAD015

The Inn is on the east side of this street.

Inside in Room 18 (use the key Ellen gave you), you will find lootz!

You can use your lockpicking skills to open the other doors.

The Housekeeping room has a Servo motor you will need later, you can come later for it to avoid cluttering your inventory, using perception on the chemical shelf will also give you chemicals you’ll need later. Yeah, dont grab these until the last moment, I’ll let you know.

You can give some squeezins to the bums in the alley so you can get to the secret Courthouse entrance from here but.. we need XP, there are other ways and we will do this later.

There are several fights in some of the other rooms, dont know what’s up with the writer but I left him alone.

After I sold some loot, I went to Rail nomads but YOU should go get some Ranks at the Roof XP exploit, well, if you want.

You want to go to the Alleyways, which is NE from the Courthouse, go north from the graveyard and you’ll see a small road between buildings, go there and that’s the Alleyways,

Use a rope at the alleyways to go up the roof.

The XP glitch, yes, there is a glitch and its glorious!

Because we are going to clone ourselves later, dont worry about grabbing NPCs right now but if you want, you can grab Ace right now if you go in and get him.

So.. doing this is the glitch:

Tips, Achievements Guide and Walkthrough - Wasteland Remastered - Part 2 - Quartz and Desert Nomads - F5075227F

Im not sure why the game gives you infinite XP here but it does. *Probably Perception checks

To get all the Rankup achievements you will need 8.4 MILLION XP!

Anyway, I just camped here for an hour or so, watched a movie on Netflix while I spammed the C button. You can also press down on the {ESC} key and it should work, maybe its faster.

If you have the perception skill at least L1, that character gets more XP.

Took me an hour to get to Major, but it would take me hours to get the last two rank achievements, I got bored, made a save so I just continued.

You can also farm XP using Swimming at the “Gulf of Mexico” SW from Quartz:

Tips, Achievements Guide and Walkthrough - Wasteland Remastered - Part 2 - Quartz and Desert Nomads - 1E2DED883

Just “Camp” on the water or {ESC/LButton}, Glu Glu Glub, dont die!

I think Camping here is actually faster.. idk.

Another way to get into the Hideout.

You can use the pa*sword you found at the bar and its funny when you do.

The real pa*sword is found at the Courthouse: KAPUT

But why waste the potential loot? Youre OP now, kill em all.

In the bedrooms, you can find fruits and 3 chemicals, you will need these later to make antitoxins at Darwin, so save the chemicals. The fruits you can buy at AC later.

To get at the dogs, you can climb the fence.

I strongly suggest you hold back your looting urges and leave the ammo on the floor here, you can come later to pick some up if you need them or else you will run out of inventory space.

Dont go into Ugly’s office yet, we need to pick up Ace.

He is in the cellar and the trapdoor there is the officer’s club, right south from the bedrooms.

Go down there, pick the lock, use (E)nc to hire him, like you did Jackie.

Tips, Achievements Guide and Walkthrough - Wasteland Remastered - Part 2 - Quartz and Desert Nomads - 40E07019D

Ace Up Your Sleeve

Rescue Ace.

Now, you will need luck or disarm bombs skill.

If you need to, go to Needles (North from Quartz and across the bridge ) to train your Disarm Bomb skill but I did it with L1 Disarm bombs.. I have high stats now.

Anyway, as soon as the fight starts, you can split your party so your bomb defuser runs to be on top of the girl in the chair so he can start Use->Skill->Disarm Bombs, the rest can proceed to kick a*s.

The first time I played, I accidentally killed Felicia.. you are meant to Hire her so you can get her out of there.

Tips, Achievements Guide and Walkthrough - Wasteland Remastered - Part 2 - Quartz and Desert Nomads - 0A076836D

Hi, Felicia

Rescue Felicia from Ugly’s Hideout.

You can raid the Vault and the Safe before you go, leave the ammo behind if you want.

Now on to the Courthouse, its a ma*sacre.

On the 2nd Floor you can find and recruit Citrine if you want, but i’ll pa*s, my party’s full.

Use a Canteen on him if you want to help him.

On the 3rd floor, you can rescue Mayor Pedros but to do so, you need to recruit him.. hmm..

Time to let Felicia go, Pool Money, Trade her items to Jackie, Dis(B)and 7)Felicia.

Um.. uneventful but ok, (E)nc, Hire Pedros. Mission Complete, bye bye Pedros!

Dis(B)and 7)Mayor Pedros

Rail Nomads

You can use your new pa*sword CATERPILLAR on the guards, each for a different effect.

When you enter the middle tent using the pa*sword, you’ll be in for a surprise.

Holy crap, what’s with these Topekans?! The baby too?! C’mon!

At least I got a broken toaster out of this.. and XP.. cruel XP and items.

Once you’re given a shovel, go 12 paces south of the west end of the south rail, right to the left of the plant.

aww c’mon! are all these nomads arseholes?!

Part 3 – AC and Needles

Agricultural Center

As you go in, you can see some men discussing the problems.

If you offer to help, you will be taken to the Orchard and wont be able to get out easily.

One way to get out is to Use->Attribute->STR on those doors.

There is also the cave in the Southwest corner which you can use to escape.

There will be lots of vermin fights, decent XP and they dont hit too hard, although, if you dont have the skills, you will miss a bunch.

But if you want to do the quest, go ahead and look for Harry here:

Wascal Whomp

Defeat Harry the Bunnymaster.

To the batcave robin!

Nothing much to see here, you can get some fruit and XP from vermin and an exit to the wastelands on the other side.

Going back to the AC, you can find the Old man infront of his root cellar, which you now have access to. You can find a lot of empty boxes, but if you use Perception on the ones that open, you can get some loot.

Time to go to Las Vegas in style.

North of Quartz

With Ace on your team, step into the abandoned Jeep and you’ll travel to the Gas Station in:

Needles

Jeep broke down but you got an engine, talk to the Attendant at the right side of the place.

Just note that you could *WALK* to Las Vegas instead of these little detours.

Anyway, since we are In Needles, we have 4 achievements here and a Library to visit.

Don’t worry about buying an engine, you will find one later.

Important Note:

Do NOT sell any Howitzer shells you find, you’ll need those for an achievement.

You can buy some at the Downtown though, but why waste money.

Going Northeast avoiding Downtown, you can find the Police Station, going in is optional but fun.

Inside a cell, you can find Mort and help him escape (Hire)

[https://wasteland-archive.fandom.com/wiki/Mort – [fandom.com] ]

East of the Police station is the Ammo Bunker with tons of goodies you can loot or leave there for later, taking the ring back to the mushroom priest SE of town, will further the mystery.

The library is north from the Police Station, drop by and update your dudes.

After doing your business, go west to the NW corner, careful, there is some radiation around and it can get you killed. This is the temple of blood.

Dont worry about defending yourself, we are here to get the one true bloodstaff.

On the west side, in a locked room you can find the launch code: MOTEKIM

North of there, in the torture chambers, you can find Ralf (https://wasteland.fandom.com/wiki/Ralf) – []  who can be recruited if you save him by turning the lasers off at the Control Board in the SE corner of the room. You can hire him like the others.

I suggest you go sell some stuff to get inventory space before continuing.

Going through the praying room and to the east side, you’ll find another control panel, would you like to play chess? yes. Whats the worst that could happen?

Oh boy, what? hahaha

Trial and Error gives me 30 steps.

Next room is tricky but if you have swam a lot, its easier.

You can just turn back to escape, but we need the thing in the middle of this area.

Swim, Run, Swim!

Jump over the plates if you see them.

In the other room, south of where you started, there is a Missile.

A guy will ask you for the Launch Code which you must have found earlier.

Lock It In!

Use the correct launch code in the Temple of Blood.

You can come back to this place later if you do the chess puzzle again.

Now, we head to downtown Needles.

Needles Downtown (West Side)

Entering from the west side, you find the hot dog stand on the south side but where we want to go is the next shop to it, Crawley’s Occult shop.

Here, we find a crystal ball which you can use Perception on to get:

Flashback

Use the crystal ball in Needles.

Crater Raider sounds like a great game.

Tips, Achievements Guide and Walkthrough - Wasteland Remastered - Part 3 - AC and Needles - CFFE6AC88

On the NE side of this area, you will find an artillery weapon.

If you did the temple of blood or raided the ammo bunker, you should have some howitzer shells.

You have to stand in the correct spot and Use->Item->Howitzer Shell, do this six times, each a different target and you’ll get.

Before leaving, on the NW side there is a person blocking the door, well, we need to go in, so beat the crap out of them. Going to the bas*ment, you will find the verification device.

Try it on all your bloodstaves if you dont remember the one you took from the blood priest.

Use->Item->Bloodstaff->Direction

If you got the correct one, you’ll get:

Tips, Achievements Guide and Walkthrough - Wasteland Remastered - Part 3 - AC and Needles - 474D90866

The Real Deal

Verify the Bloodstaff in Needles.

DO NOT lose this bloodstaff!

Needles Downtown (East Side)

A shop is on the west side of this area, in the alley south, next to it, there is a woman, she will be attacked, if you dont attack her and get rid of the baddies, you can Hire her.

The problem here is that your NPC companions cant be told who to target, so make sure they arent using any ranged weapons or make sure they evade while you deal with the bad men.

After that or even during that, if you havent attacked her, Hire her.

(https://wasteland.fandom.com/wiki/Christina) – []

She has very good items, I recruited her, got her stuff then Disbanded her.

Thank you, lady. I’ll pa*s for now.

On the SE side, you will find a gambling den, the pa*sword is Acapulco.

If you only want a Hint: A bum on the west side of town mentions the pa*sword.

I have to mention that the winnings are based on your Gambling skill AND the LK stat.

If you are in a group, the first ranger’s skills and stats are the ones used, so if you have your gambler in another position, Re-Order or Disband him to be infront.

After a few minutes of pressing the 1 key a lot, I lost around 2k money but got:

Piles Of Cash

Earn $50,000 in a single game.

On the NE side there is an alley blocked by rubble.

You can use STR to clear it and behind it, there is a boss fight.. kinda.

Before we go, let’s return the Bloodstaff to the Mushroom Priest in their bunket to the SE.

Use->Item->Bloodstaff

Great loot, leave the ammo behind to conserve space, just take a few that you might need.

Grab 4 TNT for the road and the Engine for your Jeep.

You can also visit the Waste Pool on the SW side, there are 2 Rad Suits and lots of guns down there if you want them but it’s a tough place. Break down the doors with STR.

Part 4 – Las Vegas

Wether you came here by car or by feet, as you enter the place you’ll get:

Tips, Achievements Guide and Walkthrough - Wasteland Remastered - Part 4 - Las Vegas - 9BD1A38F3

Viva Las Vegas!

Arrive in Las Vegas

This place is a warzone!

You have two choices, we can skip a bit of stuff and go straight to Fargo with the pa*swords or do it the right way and find the pa*swords first, if you want to skip, enter Vegas from the middle top square, go east to the vertical street, go south then west into the red/brown building.

Tips, Achievements Guide and Walkthrough - Wasteland Remastered - Part 4 - Las Vegas - 19BC4AA6B

Old man and Spade’s Casino

If you want to find the pa*swords for yourself, you need to search the abandoned buildings.

Hint: A red roofed corner house west of the Library (which is in the SE)

Tips, Achievements Guide and Walkthrough - Wasteland Remastered - Part 4 - Las Vegas - 1CF896310

“Old Man” my a*s, he looks fit af

The Hospital here is super expensive, its best to go back to Highpool for treatment or well, with high gambling, it doesnt matter, you have infinite monies.

Going out of Vegas and entering from the middle left will leave you close to the Golf Court.

Go south to find an empty pond then east to the Spade’s Casino to meet Crumb and learn the two pa*swords.

You can gamble here, the winnings are smaller than in Needle but they are super more consistent and easier.

If youre feeling adventurous, you can explore the 2nd floor, use a rope in a trapdoor then use dexterity or acrobatics to climb down, I didnt find anything down there but a good spot to train Climb.

Fat Freddy’s HQ

NE from Spade’s, very close by, its the next stop, as you get close you’ll get attack but just defend yourself, loot, go in.

The gambling here is fast and better, the Roulette (usually pays double if you have lots of luck and gambling. You know the word from the “Old man”, use it here for a meeting with FF and accept for some free cash, you can skip this whole bit if you want.

Faran Brygo’s HQ

So, you go in and you need to tell them the things.

The keywords are: KESTREL and CRUMB

After you ask him what you can do for him, you’ll get:

Tips, Achievements Guide and Walkthrough - Wasteland Remastered - Part 4 - Las Vegas - 29DFD7AAA

A Boss By Any Other Name

Find Faran Brygo.

Before you leave the area, go into the abandoned building across the street and to the right, you will find insects inside and after a few fights, a robot will drop your prize: a Proton Ax!

Behind that building, to the south, there will be some robot bicycle things, they drop The Sonic Key, you’ll need it!

On the NE side there’s the Vegas Jail and you can hire Covenant there if you want.

(https://wasteland.fandom.com/wiki/Covenant) – []

Now we head to:

Mushroom Church

Enter Vegas from the middle eastern square then go north, you’ll find the nuclear plant.

That’s the Church.

You will need a pa*sword, if you remember the name of the Church Leader (Charmaine), thats one option.

Brought a gift? Umm.. yes.

What is it?

Answer: BloodStaff

Hint: The thing we got for the bishop at Needles

I just smashed my way north using STR, not sure what were you supposed to do to get to her, haha. tell her Faran Brygo sent you.

Dont get in front of her or you will start a big fight!

You can skip this whole fetch quest by using 2 sonic keys you’ve found battling robots on the doors on the west side of the church to go to the sewers, you would, however, need a 3rd key to open a door down there, you can find that 3rd key at the golf course.

You can also go NE to the coolant room and turn off the system for an explosion, this will flood everything with radiation and open the sonic key doors.

In a small room, in the SE side you can find a Doctor you can Hire.

https://wasteland.fandom.com/wiki/Michael_Scott – [fandom.com]

I decided to go get the Bloodstaff.

Needles

Mushroom Bunker, Tell the Priest: “Dipstick”, got it!

Tips, Achievements Guide and Walkthrough - Wasteland Remastered - Part 4 - Las Vegas - 396793984

Oops, wrong pa*sword!

Back to the lady, oh yeah, make sure you have at least 2 Ropes and a Pick Ax with you.

Vegas Sewers

Two doors are opened by her, to the west and the exit you need is in the NW corner of the Area.

Get ready because its a huge grind down there.

There are 3 maps here, we start at the Western Sewers.

Some enemies drop robot parts, grab them all.

You will need to search every inch of this place for those.

Do not sell or drop any of the parts, even if you finish this area, you can use them in another location.

You can use a rope to cross the river but if you have been swimming for a while at the Gulf and your Swim skill is good, just wade through it.

Going SW, you will find a chasm, another rope must be used here to cross.

Back to the River and East, you will find a breakable wall SE from a shadow that makes a grid.

You can tell the wall is breakable because the top looks different than the others.

I used a Pick Ax to break the walls, make a macro for it.

In the south part of this map, past breaking walls, on the east side, we can go to Eastern Sewers.

Nothing here but to go North to another submap then east, you will see a breakable wall in the center, break through to the other side of the river, go west.

Then south again into the submap we came from.

There, go west and you’ll find a lab, the only way to open it is to use a Sonic Key.

Tips, Achievements Guide and Walkthrough - Wasteland Remastered - Part 4 - Las Vegas - 375E1BC74

There are 4 stations here which need parts from you

To use a station again, Use your Electronics skill or IQ attribute or move back and then get close again. To find what item you need to use, run Diagnostic, yeah, its 1 item at a time.

Use the item on the tile {Space}, not to the wall.

So, you need to Diagnostic, then Initiate Repairs, then Use Item, then do it again until its complete and finally Prep for Assembly to lock the station down, do this in each of the 4 stations.

My station requirements:

1st: Android, Head, Rom Board

2nd: Fusion Cell, Power Converter, Rom Board, Servo Motor, Rom Board.

3rd: Servo Motor

4th: Servo Motor x 3

*Im not sure but requirements might be randomized or not.

Notes:

Western Sewers

A Power converter east of the entrance.

A Servo Motor west of the entrance.

A Servo Motor and a Laser Pistol SW of the chasm.

A Rom board south of the river you rope/wade across.

A Fusion cell south then NE from the river you rope/wade across.

Eastern Sewers

An Android head on the west side of the north side, past the wall.

A Servo motor SE of the North part of the map. (SE from the River)

On the way to the lab:

A Rom board south from above, in the south map.

A Servo motor south from above, in the south map.

A Rom board inside the Lab.

Finally, after the whole ordeal, you’ll get:

Part 5 – Sleeper Base & Darwin

Follow the river east to the NE corner of the world map and a new location appears, this is Sleeper Base.

1F

We need to find some SecPa*s keys, do not drop or lose these!

To use the cards, stand infront of the door, use->item->pa*s then door direction.

For an achievement, we will need to learn Clone Tech, the library which teaches you this is in this floor, on the SE side, you need a SecPa*s to get in there. SW side has the hatch to the other floors.

I put these in spoilers in case you want to explore and go find them yourself, just skip.

SecPa*s Locations

SecPa*s 1 – 1F Cafeteria (West of entrance), lockpick, crowbar or STR break the door.

SecPa*s 3 – 1F Small room, middle of the 2nd row of rooms south from the entrance.

SecPa*s A – 2F Office east to the sleeping pods, needs SP3 to enter.

SecPa*s 7 – 3F Commander’s office desk, needs SPA to enter.

Pa*ses Open:

SP1->Opens 1F NE Outer door.

SP3->Opens 1F NE Inner door, 1F SE Door (Library),Most 2/3F doors.

SPA->2F Control Room N from Clone Pods, 3F commander’s office and some doors.

SP7->Some 3F doors. 2F Sleeper Beds and NE Power Room.

2F

The Library is on the west side and here you can learn Cyborg Tech which can make things easier in Darwin but you can also pa*s a High IQ check there so you really dont need it.

The clone pods are on the SE but you need to power up the control room and chemicals first.

Pick up Pa*s Card A and let’s go to:

3F

We need to get SP7 from here.

SE area has a broken down Helicopter Simulator that we want to fix and use on someone with DEX 30+ You need a Rom Board to repair it and SPA to open it., you only need this if you want to skip part of the final battle.

NE is the power control room, which you need to turn on to go south from the commander’s office.

You can leave someone here to turn the power off and on for the rest of the group to proceed unharmed or just run for it. There is a safe here you can crack for the plasma coupler.

2F

NE Power Room opens with a pa*scard u got from 3F.

Fix with the converter you got, directed at the panel.

In the cloning control room, you need to fix some technical problems:

Tips, Achievements Guide and Walkthrough - Wasteland Remastered - Part 5 - Sleeper Base & Darwin - 778BF7D5D

oh yes, this can be easily fixed with science!

Puzzle Answer:

Did you guess right? Yes, you need Clone Tech Skill and a Jug!

You can find Jugs in the room across the power room in this level.

First Use->Skill->Clone Tech on the tile, not on the console, you might need a few tries to get it.

Second, Try to prepare the fluid then install output container, use->item->jug then choose create clone fluid.

After you have the fluid, give it to the ranger you want to clone, go to SE 2F to the pods, Disband the person you want cloned with the fluid and walk to the pod.

Come back in a few days for your clone, Im gonna go to Darwin in the meantime.

We are done here for now, you must be wondering how to get in here:

Tips, Achievements Guide and Walkthrough - Wasteland Remastered - Part 5 - Sleeper Base & Darwin - FD489BA7B

That’s the armoury vault but we cant get in there yet, the key is in project Darwin, so we go there.

Darwin

South of the sleeper base, through some mountains, you’ll arrive at Darwin.

You can do several things here, like mix antitoxins in the lab (Use 1 Chemical and 1 Fruit), recruit a couple of fellows at the bar by curing them with the antitoxins, there’s a library and the black market shop which needs a pa*scode to enter: CRETIAN

There are 3 roads that are vertical, the middle road leading south goes to Project Darwin.

Using Sleeper Base’s SP7 to open the door, you can go in.

Project Darwin

If you want some XP, you can explore this ground floor but if you are OP and dont need it, ignore everything here and go up using the elevator on the NW corner.

Using SP7, you find Finster in his office and he will attack, this is unavoidable, so just deal with him.

Dont let him lose his head!

In the next room, do a hard save in case things go very wrong.

Note: Laser Rifle>Carbine>Pistol

Disband a person with good fighting skills (DEX/IQ are very useful) and Cyborg Tech 1 skill (or very high IQ stat) to use the head in this small room.

Take some explosives just in case (TNT,Plastics)

Inside the Mind Maze, you will need to do a series of puzzles and fights, pink portals move forward, blue portals are a way to escape.

You could kill the Night Terror with time and perseverance but you dont NEED to.

On the west side, in the safe, you can crack it and get another meson cannon and loot.

North of there, a dude is carrying an Ion Beamer.

On the East side, you will find a museum, the cylinders there are showcases which you can break to find goodies including the Quasar key and a broken toaster.

In the middle room, follow the red carpet north to the Outer Sanctum.

On the west side, you can find the computer pa*sword under a bed.

Dozens of power packs everywhere.

In the northwest bedrooms there is a monk that leaves a corpse behind, in his corpse find the Nova key.

On the NE corner, you can go into the Jail and get a Proton Ax from a dude and a recruit if you want but meh. On the SE corner there is a small church, search the altar for the Blackstar Key.

Having all four keys, we can now GTFO but, for extra loot and Power Armour, open the Portacullis using your superhuman Strength.

Go into the room to the left, use STR on the wheel (from 1 tile away).

Using the code you found in the bedrooms, access the Vault.

In this floor, you can go south then east to the Toaster Repair room and the Helicopter, which, if you learned Piloting in Sleeper Base you can use to fast travel somewhere.

I found a Nova key, a Pulsar key a Plasma coupler in the toasters I had on me.. the coupler is what we need, so dont lose that!

To get to the Heli just blow up the fence or destroy it with your Highlander Strength.

Before you leave, make sure you have seven LAW rockets/explosives to blow up doors in the next area.. or you can find them over there, dont worry.

Base Cochise

Yeah.. I forgot to learn Piloting..and even then if you havent been to Cochise, you cant use the Heli unless you know where Cochise is, so I just walked there.

The base is in the NW corner, lots of tough robots are outside so you better run for it and go straight up and for the first door.

Who has time to fly? I decided to go in Gunz a-blazing.

Use the Johnny method to get through the first door.

A cla*sic

Heeeeeeeeeere’s Johnny!

Use SecPa*s B to go through the second door.

If you dont have a Plasma Coupler (Gotten from a broken toaster) you can find another one here, on a dead robot (that you murder!) outside Base Cochise by the rubble to the west.

Level 1

Use the conveyor belt to go up then go east, use the Johnny method to open this wall.

OR you can talk to the AI in this level which will send you to L2 right quick but its easier this way… but try the other way, its more “fun”.

Level 2

From here, go west, extend the bridge past the sludge then east to the Robot Assembly Room.

You can destroy the security consoles along the way using a crowbar or an ax.

In the RAR, you can create your own robot for a great recruitable NPC and an achievement.

VAX Hax

Use the Robot Assembly Station in Base Cochise to create VAX.

You can crowbar all the other stations here for some neat sabotage, picklock the console cage, go in, crowbar that mofo. In the NE room, you can find 2 Power Armours and lots of AT weapons.

Go back to the first room and open the titanium bar covered door to the north.

Titanium Bars? Bah!

Go to L3 using the hatch on the right.

Level 3

All your superman confidence is going to waste here since we need to do the challenges to open the next doors.

Remember you can use Dis(b)and to send only 1 person instead of the whole group.

Room 1: Use someone with Climb/Acrobatics or High DEX/AGI to get to the other side.

Room 2: Send someone in Power Armour and with lots of HP or High Perception and avoid.

Room 3: Someone with High DEX/LK will be able to get through.

Level 4

SPB to open the door.

In each of the four corners, there is a cylinder which you need to activate using the keys we got from the Citadel but to access them, we need to remove the walls.

You will need to explode all other doors here.

Go NW to enable the self-destruct sequence, its a little room east of the room, need explosives to get in. The console will be damaged and you will need a plasma coupler to repair it.

Do a hard save here, in case you mess up!

Solution:

First, unlock all cylinders in the exact order but you will notice, if it has a force field up, go look elsewhere. Before using the final key, make sure you have a team member besides each station!

Blackstar Key: Reactor Core Room (NW)

Nova Key: Robot Maintenance Room (NE)

Pulsar Key: Security Electronics Room (SE)

Quasar Key: OSHA Room (SW)

When you use the final key, the stations will close and you’ll be trapped.

You can get the color wrong to open them again and get out.

If you already have 1 team member at each station, proceed with the correct color sequence.

Remember that you need to switch between subparties with the (V)iew command.

Reactor Core Room—>Red

Security Electronics—>Yellow

OSHA Room—>Green

Robot Maintenance—>Blue
