This guide will describe how to unlock all side chapters in the game.
 
 

Introduction

Some points I’d like to make first.
 

• I collected this information as I played through the game.
• If any of it is incorrect please do let me know and hopefully I can fix it or if you have more detailed info be sure to let me know.
• I got a good amount of information from this – [steamcommunity.com]  guide by aquatorrent – [steamcommunity.com]  so big thanks to you.
• I don’t consider Free Play to be side chapter 1, just a bonus thing so that won’t be my start.
• I will specify if you can do it during day, night or anytime which includes free play on those that I know, I may make a*sumptions which I will identify with [A], should you have more info that I don’t then please do share.
• I only started fully keeping track of how the chapters unlocked after around SC6 so the information before that may be inaccurate but I did my best to hopefully get it right.

Side Chapter 1 – Cupid

Complete Main Chapter 2 – Hometown.
 
 
 

Side Chapter 2 – The Angry Flame

Complete Main Chapter 3 – Shadow Knight.
 
 
 

Side Chapter 3 – Incorrigible

Anytime – Kill the slime near the bottom warehouse on the right side of the map in Genoseed Suburbs during or after Main Chapter 5 – Black Case / Red Rival.
 
 

 
 
 

Side Chapter 4 – The Elixir of Longevity

Complete Main Chapter 5 – Black Case / Red Rival.
 
 
 

Side Chapter 5 – Shoot for the Top!

Day / Freeplay – Go to the Imperial Library in Genoseed SW Block and speak with the blonde person named Frank during or after Main Chapter 8 – Secret Strife.
 
 

 
 
 

Side Chapter 6 – Pa*s the Light

Freeplay – After completing Main Chapter 7 – Marionettes go to Freeplay, there will be a priest in the bottom left corner of Genoseed SE Block near the shed, talk to him then leave Freeplay, it’ll be unlocked.

Side Chapter 7 – Antiquity in the Tundra

Complete Main Chapter 8 – Secret Strife.
 
 
 

Side Chapter 8 – IndeTerminate

Complete Main Chapter 16 – Asleep in the Lost Woods.
 
 
 

Side Chapter 9 – A Gift from the Wind

Complete Side Chapter 8 – IndeTerminate.
 
 
 

Side Chapter 10 – Lone Tiger

Anytime – Talk to the silver haired guy in Warrior’s Respite Hotel in Genoseed Suburbs during or after Main Chapter 11 – Fight to the Death!.
 
 

 
 
 

Side Chapter 11 – The Mountain Dragon

Day / Freeplay[A] – Talk to the green guard in the beginning of the Lost Woods during or after Main Chapter 16 – Asleep in the Woods.
 
 

 
 
 

Side Chapter 12 – Midnight Death Fight!

Complete Main Chapter 11 – A Humble Dream.
 
 
 

Side Chapter 13 – The Music Box Keepsake

Complete Main Chapter 13 – Cherished Flower.
 
 
 

Side Chapter 14 – Season of the Arts

Anytime – After Main Chapter 16 – Asleep in the Woods go to Jean’s room and interact with one of the pile of books in the middle, be sure not to leave this for later as eventually he does clean up the pile of books.

Side Chapter 15 – Coup D’Etat

Night – During Main Chapter 17 – The Serene Fortress talk to Glery in Genoseed NE Block, he’ll be near the tree area and Aruth in Genoseed NW Block, he’ll be near the Tayiaki stand looking in the direction of the water.

Side Chapter 16 – The Legendary Thief

Night – During Main Chapter 18 – The City Never Sleeps go to the Imperial Library in Genoseed SW Block and defeat Duarto that will be standing at the entrance.
 
 

 
 
 

Side Chapter 17 – Beloved Friend

Complete Main Chapter 20 – Forbidden Contact.
 
 
 

Side Chapter 18 – The Ancient Battleground

Complete Main Chapter 23 – Battle beneath the Stars.
 
 
 

Side Chapter 19 – The Phantom Vintage

After completing Side chapters 8 and 9 go into Freeplay and then leave, it’ll be unlocked.
 
(Unsure if this is the true way of unlocking it but that’s how it unlocked for me)
 
 
 

Side Chapter 20 – Save the Kidnapper

Collect 160,000+ fil.
 
 
 

Side Chapter 21 – Leave the Light on

Collect 200,000+ fil.
 
 
 

Side Chapter 22 – The Royal Fiend

Defeat Dilac during Main Chapter 23 – Battle beneath the Stars.
 
 

 
 
 

Side Chapter 23 – Halcyon Days

Complete Main Chapter 24 – The Sacred Tears.
