Tips and tricks for those who may or may not be infected with Porphyric Hemophilia…
Blood is Life
My friend Vicente taught me the day I became infected, “Blood is Life.”
He was not joking.
Firstly, if you don’t have the Unofficial Oblivion Patch, bottles of Human Blood will not restore your feeding level. With the patch, a script is added to them. Something to consider.
Second, mods can be added (and perhaps tinkered with?) to give blood bottles for whatever you desire. Fellow modders, vampires need some love, and if you don’t I will. I’ll add a blood harvest mod.
This guide will assume you have the game WITHOUT patch or mods, and try to give pointers on how to survive…
You can only acquire blood from living people, and then, only when they’re sleeping.
Thieves and Assassins are natural sneaks and lockpicks, and can feed with relative ease because of this.
Heavy armor will be more likely to alert the target, causing them to wake up upon feeding. And getting an assault bounty on your head.
High sneak stat, paired with a high agility, and light armor, you can mostly avoid the no-sneak feed detection that happens.
100% Chameleon’s usefulness in this cannot be overstated, because you come out of sneak mode BEFORE you begin to feed, and do not re-enter it automatically.
Try to pick a target close to home, and try to learn their sleep hours. Try to coordinate you waking up just after they fall asleep. Feed and be good all day.
